Rangers hitting on top of the roof or behind walls- is it alright or it's bannable?

Hi GM's,

I would like to get clarification if rangers hitting on top of the roof or behind walls is ok or if it's bannable?

Ex.: TERMINON or PRIMUM LANDING: We know that rangers has range buffs which could help them hit their targets within their ranger and go for a kill but i would like to clarify if a ranger go on top of the roof press tab select target and hit them will it be OK? or it's BANNABLE?

And how about rangers hitting behind walls while target is inside the building, we know that rangers has a chance to hit the targets which is in their range- is it OK? or still bannable

Please enlighten us on this before ranger users get banned for "BUG ABUSE or worst case being accused of HACKING".

 

bannable, as far as I remember. just SS and report on forums or find GM in game

 

It's bug abuse and prison-able, just take a screenshot when your getting attacked, or move away and take a screenshot so you don't die. Or use //gmlist and tell an online GM.

 

Really? then what's the purpose of a ranger if this is going to happen? I guess what needs to be done is to have a solution so rangers won;t be able to hit on top of the roof or behind walls within their ranger.

Anyways, i'd like to get an answer from a GM to make sure about this as i am planning to create a ranger.

its wall shooting, rangers often abuse that bug, and it well used to be bannable.. before jailing became popular xD

All ranger's attack that come through a wall will be considered as a bug abuse. Therefore, it deserves a punishment.

If you're planning on making ranger, just make sure you're not intentionally shoot through wall.

 

In retail, these walls create an actual barrier that you can't use skills through, they just don't really exist here so while you can't actually move through the wall, you can still use skills through it.. which is kind of unfair to classes that can't really defend themselves while in there such as glads. ^^

 

Hmm. This is deffinetly a bug abuse. Although i'm pretty sure anyone that abuses this will either be jailed or warned, for not everyone knows that you can get banned for this.

If you continue to abuse this bug, although you know its wrong, then you will be banned ^_^

 

Its not just Ranger's that uses wall bug.. its any class that have rang..

Yeah it's any class that has range, although rangers are the most popular. I've had sorcs 2 hit me behind the broker in Morheim before. >_<

 

The maximum time for abusing this bug is a 4 hour jail sentence.

I had fun the other day flying next to the wall on my GM char while i was attacked through the walls.

Instant jail time ^^

Rangers sorcers even templars been doing this for a while even tho its punishable ppl want to do it so badly they risk getting jailed. When it comes to pleasure u cant leave it to ppl's concience u gotta make it imposible for ppl to do it or u gonna have to put a gm in each abyss landing 24 /7 jailing or banning ppl.

 

kenkatesumi thats a very crrepy character you got ther and regarding the bug abuse it is very annoying when youre trying to buy something and you get killed so i think 4 hours jail time (whatever that means) its not enough >.<

Being attacked while buying items is called PvP and is not a jailable offence.

Buy items in non-PvP zones to prevent this issue from occuring
