    Can i Please get an answer to this :


    Will MR be fixed after that it got majorily bugged? Is that in your plans? Or its now like you want it to be?

    We need to know this please cause we dont like playing with manastones everytime you change your mind and mood please.

    what magic resist really do on retail? i dont play at retail so i dont know..... all i know is it resist magic attacks, is there anything else?

    It resists Magical attacks, boosts your resistance to Stuns, knock backs, aether hold, knock downs.

    Not right now it doesn't, magic resist was broken with yesterdays update.

    So Stacked do you have any clue if this happened on Purpose and gonna stay like that? Or will it change again? Im asking cause its supposed to be a PvP Server and not a Manastone changing for fun server -.-

    Speaking as a retail player, which I admit I quit before 1.9 hit, I remember M.R. as being useful as it resisted magic attacks... not stuns/stumbles/knockdowns/etc.

    If the stun was a magic based one (which many of them are) the magic could be resisted and then the stun would be avoided as it was an effect carried alongside the magic.

    But, if it was not a magic based stun/stumble/knockdown it took effect. Essentially making M.R. stacking clerics still susceptable to gladiator / chanter lockdowns especially.


    So, unless something changed which I'll fully admit I am not up-to-date (plan to be minutes after this post as I hate to be misinformed), then M.R. =/= stun/stumble/knockdown/aerial shackle resistance.

    Otherwise we wouldn't have a statistical value applied JUST for that purpose.

    Bo no means was this an intentional thing. But with our lack of devs and people capable of fixing this in a timely manner we are just stuck waiting for the fix. It will be fixed in time, and I can understand where you're coming from as I just dumped a lot of money into my own cleric in full MR and now its worthless lol.

    From my retail experience, when fighting a full MR cleric I always found my self getting less knock downs and not being able to aether hold them, though the highest MR on retail was around 1800. Here clerics can reach over 2200 giving them even more resistance to abnormal conditions. I don't think it is supposed to be as high of resistance as it was before this update, but it is definitely supposed to give some sort of resistance to stuns/knock downs/ knock backs etc..

    Updated myself on it... resisting stuns/stumbles/etc through those means is actually not intended and abuse of the stat.

    Further evidence to prove my point:

    -> Clerics get a passive boosting their resistance to those specific key things

    -> Chanters have a stigma mantra specifically raising partys immunity to these

    -> Gladiators get a passive boosted chance to knockdown each strike

    -> Individual statistics show that M.R. litterally increases the resistance against MAGIC. This is a completely separate stat from the other stun/stumble resistances (which can be provided from U.D. as well, which is not correlated to M.R. at all).


    therefore from evidence and answers given to me I can assume that the correlation between M.R. giving stun/knockdown/etc resistance is actually a faulty correlation.


    A.K.A. a bug that was not meant to exist to be played as is.

    I'm more concerned about this than m.R. not working tbh.

    I 100% admit clerics are more resistant to them, they gain a passive ability which raises their resistances to them. ^^ you aren't incorrect.

    But M.R. does not affect anything but the ability for the magicall effect to take root... if a magic effect has a stun to it and is resisted then the stun is resisted along with it.

    But if its a melee attack /magic attack that gets through m.R. should not effect its ability to stun/stumble/knockdown/etc (omg thats so much to type...) at all.

    i think its kinda wrong.....glad the only thing that makes em good is the knockdown if u remove it from theme ur like making em useless u can just run and heal..

    You forgot to mention, sleep, traps, silence godstones, poison n so on, and it all got twisted after 2.0, before that full MR could not resist all this things

    Technically those are all considered magical attacks.
