Actually psychological tests have shown that when given a test that goes as follows:

#1: First off a questionaire involving MANY questions to gauge homophobia in an individual is given... and then the individuals are assigned how homophobic they are

#2: When exposed to scenes of intimacy, the individuals have their penile circumference measured... essentially this shows if they get aroused (even if it is a tiny amount).


Overall the test showed a great concensus that people who ranked as being more and more homophobic actually had the larger differences in penile circumference (gained obviously, not lost) than those who were not homophobic.

Essentially what that means is homophobes actually really really like it.

 

So psychologically and logically what is your IQ?

If you want to get tested go to your local college / university and ask for a psychology iq test and a logics and rythms iq test.

I honestly haven't been tested for my IQ since I was in grade 3 lol...

Personally I find that IQ is an invalid measure of a persons cognitive abilities... such as under a fMRI scan or a PET scan you can easily see within people with low IQ's equivalent or even sometimes even more activity going on in their brain than someone with a relatively high IQ.

Also interms of the IQ test itself..

IQ is a wonderful measure which originated from France.. when France tried to implent generalized schooling for all individuals and the major downfall is people had verying levels of prior education (generalized means the rich who lead lives which allowed them access to more knowledge and then the poor who had less).

So the IQ test originally was actually a positive cure in order to remove discrepency and categorize individuals... afterall no one would want to be in a "grade 2" class if their friends were in a "grade 7" class and vice versa.

I think that somewhere along the line people became generally uneducated and have begun to believe IQ as being a valid test of intelligence....

Which is dissapointing as the tests themselves are wonderful if you are assessing how good a person is at WHAT IS TESTED. (Eg: if you have a math question to a person some people can do it and then some can't... clearly this isn't a good measure of musical ability or spatial-temporal cognitive activity.)

So in the end the IQ test is nothing but a load of rubbish in the eyes of many individuals to indicate intelligence.

I'll elaborate on that point...

I personally DO go to the University for my province and there are three types of people I generally see:

#1: Those who are gifted naturally with "high IQ" many would say (I've already stated that is invalid) who do well.

#2: Those who have normal "IQ" who work their ass off

#3: Those who are gifted and don't even try and end up failing out of their "gifted" honors program.

In the end intelligence is more difficult to measure than a simple IQ test.


HOWEVER I will not dispute the positive aspects of testing someone who has experianced brain damage with stuff like the Sodium Amytal brain localization tests, WAIS, Patterned Cards Test or many other psychological tests which can help locate damage.


but labelling a person based on a test is a filthy and disgusting thing to do in my, and many peoples, opinion.
