Transfer gear for credits!

Heres an idea that could make up for the no-trades going on... allow players to have the option to trade 2k credits to exchange all of their gears for another type of gear.


Eg: plate-> cloth and sword -> orb and maybe if they have a shield shield -> book.

Just an idea... because not many people will drop $120 (+++) just to try another character... ever.

But many people will drop $20 for that.

Just some food for thought, and potential profit.

I think It's a valid suggestion, but in my honest opinion the chances of this happening are fairly low. It sounds like it would involve a lot of work to make sure the trades go over smoothly while at the same time not taking away from the time the AM's spend in game.

With no one being really "paid" to do this (void Carl), it would be a bit hard to demand the implementation of a non-automated service. >_<

Yeah I feel you, I dropped $150 into a cleric I played for 1 day before mr was broken. Have not played it in a few days. All that gear has just gone to waste. Slowly losing interest in even playing it now.

 

Owwwch >.< damn that is intense... maybe try slotting block for now? There are a lot of melee archetypes floating around... or maybe do a block/parry or block/hp split? May prove to be benificial

 

I submitted this suggestion to the heads of the server actually today. A way to use a donation/credits to allow you to switch gear, but as Stacked said it would be hard as there would need to be AM's who have access to see credits and donations for it. I don't know if that's something that is wanted.

 

Well I've been busy crafting the last two days, Just dont feel like re socketing all of the manastones after spending a few hours farming the mr stones.

Trading of ABG items will not be made allowed any time in the foreseeable future.

And I still dont own a single piece of ABG... The only piece I ever purchased I gave to someone who hates me.

I didn't mean trading them o_o I meant having a staff member swap them for credits.

 

I think that this is actually a good idea and that a lot of people will be willing to do this if they have the option, but theres the challenge of properly implementing it.

A good suggestion and I highly appreciate it. Especially if you're the kind of player who has two types of eat sets and you would want to trade it for a single abg set. But like you've said, a non-automated process like this is going to take a lot of effort. Personally I wouldn't want the GMs to spend so much time in this because I could just imagine how many people would go for this.

 

That's why I suggested that one or two GM's who would be called Donations GM's would be incharge of this type of thing and be the ones who mainly do this. We shall see though, it's ultimately up to the CEO's.

Oh good! If this will push through at least those GMs would have a more definitive job description. And if, just if, this would push through, I hope these GMs would be able to handle the pressure and stress. Catering to at least 1,000 players is both an awesome and a gruesome task -no sarcasm-
