I am going to share my tactics that I use in duels, dont be shy to add suggestion how to do it better, but I know ppl dont like to share their combo skills :)

    Stun combo:
Stunning shot->Two damage skills(I use Heart Shot+Deadly Arrow)->Retreating slash(this mean u have to be really close)
You have to have Bestial fury up, otherwise you wont be able to get 2 skills off, because your attack speed would be to slow.

Use Bestial fury againts every class wheres not written explicitly not to use it.

    Againts Cleric:
The most easy class to beat, just Silence arrow->Entangling shot->Dmg skills. You must watch Silence once it wear off use Sleep arrow. Then buff up with everything you can and do the Stun combo and if he/she is still alive finish him off with dmg skills.
In most cases u wont even need to use Sleep arrow as he/she will die in duration of Silence arrow.

    Againts Chanter:
Do not use Bestial fury. Use Focused evasion on countdown, to prevent getting Stunned. Then Shackle arrow->Silence Arrow->Entangling Shot->Dmg skills if he/she is not dead by end of Silence same as Cleric, use Sleeping arrow and Stun combo.

    Againts Gladiator:
Do not use Bestial fury. You need to stay on your max range. The key factor to win is to kite, so start with Entangling followed by Silence Shot(to prevent any buffs) and then use Dmg skills, if you get Ankle snared use Shackle arrow. Its just about keeping Entanglin shot up and keeping distance. Its also not bad to use Sleeping arrow when you get ankle snared.
I always keep Focused Evasion to use it when Gladiator starts to cast Precision cut.

    Againts Templar:
Do not use Bestial fury.Same as Gladiator, just start with Focused Evasion, because Templar will start with his pulling skill.

    Againts Spiritmaster:
Two ways: Either silence SM and kill his pet, or better way Sleep SM kill his pet, then start off with Silence Arrow and finish him off with Dmg skill, pretty easy.
You might dont need to kill Pet anymore, because their attack got reduced in last patch, havent tested it yet.

    Againts Sorc:
If he starts with Illusion start with Sleeping arrow, wait for Illusion to wear off, then Silence and dmg skills.
Better sorcs wont start with Illusion they rather use some skill that blocks for 5sec all dmgs just Sleep, Stun combo->Silence and finish them off.

    Againts Ranger:
Focused Evasion on count down. Start with Swift shot(to break his Focused evasion), Silence arrow(to prevent him from using Sleeping arrow)->Stunning shot->Dmg skill, if you are near enough go for Retreating slash. Or different way: Swift shot->Sleep arrow->Stun combo->Silence arrow->Dmg skills.
You can even try, if your opponent uses Bestial fury, just get to distance above 15m and dont use it, this will guarantee you first shot.
Also ,if he/she doesnt have Hunters eye on, use Hide and then you have a first shot again.

    Againts Assassin:
Dont really have a working tactic right now, I have few ideas have to test em.
Just few tips againts Sin: You cant resist Ambush with Focused Evasion(atleast u werent able to in older updates, not sure how its now with Ambush being fixed)
I would start with Hide, if Sin would go to Advanced hide he would need to use Eyes skill to see through Hide and that would break his Hide, if he doesnt use Advanced Hide casting Eye skill would still give you little time to get first hit. Then try to kite him.

NOTE: You can also use traps, but I dont really use them as its kind of really easy mode. Againts Chanter, Templar, Gladiator and Ranger, just sleep them and use Sandstrom trap(30sec blind). And you win. You can use Snare trap againts magical classes, same after sleep, or silence em and then Shackle arrow so they cant move and trap under their legs.

These are more of ideas than true guide or whatever, because you can always alter it, also there are no machines who repeat same mistakes, its players who are againts you and after reading this I think it will be even harder to defeat em. Hope it helped.

P.S I will add tactics againts Assassin when I test em.
P.S2 Sorry for typos, its 1am here and I am so tired :)

The only thing you can do is blind me, with your spell which cd is 10min, not really usable in duels. And then what?
Maybe you can try to start with Marchutan shield, to avoid dmg, but thats once again 10min cd, if I am right.

If you are Asmo, I would gladly duel you.

Against clerics -> FE -> Silence -> DPS
itll beat almost any cleric on the server in a straight up duel atm (in my opinion at least). :p

Nice guide..my tactics is much simplier though on duels..

While on countdown be ready to fire your sleep arrow at the same time the timer goes down, this will give you enough time to cast bestial fury, etc, once you have all the buff you need, start with lethal arrow(since it has a cast time, but deals a pretty good damage), heart shot, ancestral arrow, gale, explosive..and before you know it your opponent is down..This combo is pretty much usefull for those who have aspd stuff..so it is a better option to get ur Mau form as well..

As for pvp its almost the same, just be sure to be on your Hide mode while roaming for prey..

Doesn't matter, duels are a joke anyways. Rangers can counter any class with their CDs up.

Focused evasion > entangling shot > DMG skills. If they stop to try to heal silence. Normally they don't bother if they even fell for the focused evasion trick.

Smart chanters use mountain crash then their stun.
In which case, use shackle and wait for them to use mountain crash (biggest dmg skill. Hits 2k) and then use focused evasion and entangling > DMG skills, or if they used both mountain and stun you just start off with entangling and DMG skills.

This obviously doesn't work in air since entangling, and every other slowing skill, doesn't slow down people in the air as it should. But normally when you come out of hide in a pvp zone people dunno where the hell you are and can't target you, so either way you'll gank them.

Silence SM, root pet. Unleash DMG on SM. If he runs, use stunning shot combo and then entangling. Much faster + doesn't spend CDs.

Pets are quite useless now though since the patch. Although even before the patch you could kill a SM without disabling his pet in any way, just your hp would be around 40%. If you're in a pvp zone or battling groups it's probably best to disable it either way.

This guide is really outdated. To the poster above, you can beat that by socketing magic accuracy to sleep or silence your opponent.

    For Sins,

FE on countdown and then Devotion because any Sin that attempts to Ambush straight away is usually a bad Sin, especially if they see you buff FE.

Gale Shot to remove their FE then Stun combo ensuring to Shackle & Lightning and after all your shots they will be dead.

    Simple

Your "Against magic classes guides" fail since every magic class nowdays has MR on their set so they resist most of ur skills such as, sleep, silence n even traps so yeah, specially clerics

nevertheless.. it's good enough for starters... like he said, it's gonna be different when your dueling the person bcuz not everyone thinks alike so you just improvise... it's not the character, it's the one who controls the character ;)
