"Chanters are healers".

Same. UD Is a pain nowdays, especially when everyone recently seems to be abusing speed bugs/etc.

 

I sometimes buff people but only when there are about 5 people around so I won't have to deal with a huge number of buff requests. But when you're in a place with a huuuuuge amount of players and three come up to you and ask for buffs, you won't heal them.

So about this group I was in yesterday, we only got together to pay a visit to the abyss core and kill some elys, but after the fortress siege we were into as I said, they wanted to go for the artifacts and the "leader",who was a sorcerer, expected for me to show him the best healing abilities in-game.
I told him chanters are not healers and he should not consider them that, but he kept going.

So let's see what chanters would be like if they really were healers: according to that, they should be the best class in game. Because not only do they combine a great range of buffs and mantras, but they can also heal in the best way possible.

Then if the opinion above is true, what were clerics made for?

 

Ive raided with chanters like Crustyundies and Kaimbe, and I've wiped out entire ZERGS with their buffs and heals.

 

That's what I'm trying to say. The only decent healing skills chanters have got are two or three, the one heals about 2,500 but hasn't got a good reuse time, and the other one is instant but heals only about1,500. How are we supposed to heal people when they receive damage up to 3k every 2 seconds?

 

If you have a good group, then yes. Like when I raided with Hackers, we hardly ever needed heals unless we were in gelk fortress.

Exactly, I'm much better at healing myself alone, or even attempting to help out with heals. I'm mostly up there with the glads fighting. Yes, we Chanters have good DPS too, we aren't your personal healer/buffer 24/7.

 

Haha yeah its fun sometimes to soo how people expect super heals from a chanter.. Altho they have some heals that are really usefull like Recovery Spell II, which actually u should use on or real healer - cleric, cos they they get targeted 1st quite often ^^...

Super duo team is a chanter + cleric ^^ owns a party easy

This was during the week Crusty came back and DTK was remade. There were times when just the two of us took out one to two groups at once with pretty much me killing them and him buffing and healing me. The thing with chanters is they need to know when its best to get out and fight and when they should focus on buffs and heals

 

Lol, yw :3 I've been through it all. I even was blamed for someone dying in one hit.. That couldn't be my fault whatsoever. It's especially hard to keep up with heals on squishy classes, I rarely even try anymore. Also, I can't stand morons who charge into the middle of zerges and expect you, a Chanter to heal them through victory. We too get hit at and don't have enough time, or heals to save your sorry self.

lol, my main is a cleric, and i have a habit of not healing my group sometimes, if theyre about to die ill flash heal and get them up to 100% but other than that im killing most of the time, if alente is with me in a group too i wont heal at all xD he seems to heal more than i do sometimes.

 

As a chanter, I side with you 100%. We're not the parties healer, ever. We can heal, but we can't keep consistently healing the whole party. We have like 1 good healing skill that has a long cd (if your group is being pressured). 10 secs is a hell of a long time to wait when you're being expected to heal.

Also, all the other heals are not significant enough to mention if you want to talk about healing groups of six.

So for all the players out there shouting at chanter to heal you mid fight, wake the hell up.

 

People who say shiet like this are gaming fatties sitting at their computer with the comic guy's voice from the simpsons yelling at themselves =/.

Especially now that as soon as your target is out of range, the healing skill cancels out. It is so annoying when your are trying to heal a party member. Im still used to the old habits
