You can't help someone who does not wish to be helped.

Read the thread, it doesn't abuse any forum rules or flame anyone. And its pretty dear to me. I see no reason why other one was locked.

Its actually become a pretty big part of who I am the past week as I've been going through relationship drama in which I've fallen deeply in love with someone I've known for a LONG time.

They come from an abusive home, suffer from a comorbid adhd ocd disorder and constantly suffered from streaks of mania and depression... bipolar disorder (also known as manic depression).

Despite fighting constantly, many times, we eventually always came back to speaking with eachother afterwards. Things never really changed.

Regardless, being a humanitarian (which may come as a shock to many of you( -.-) ), I would end up having my heart-strings pulled by anyone going through this situation.

Thus, that being said... I ended up investing some of my money into a condo for them (two birds with one stone... investment and can help) in an attempt to get them out of their clearly abusive environment, rent free. Having medical background knowledge I know that the best way to help someone not regress back into previous mental states (depression, schihtzophrenia, and many other disorders) it is best to take them away from negative environments.

This being said, I was taken aback when they called me out as being fake after they talked to a "friend" who said that. They said that the condo itself wasn't real and that everything about me was fabricated. (Which is far from the truth.)

Despite trying to get into contact with this person, everything has been ignored and I have more or less been shafted.

Now while I don't want, need, or care for any pity. (Direct it at him if you must, not I.) I think that anecdote is a great symbol of just how naive this all is.

Is this situation, at all in gravity, comparable to that? Not at all.

So get off you're high horses and lecturing for the "greater-good". It honestly may be what even I agree with, but there is a breaking point where you have to say that it is futile.

So stop trying to push things (regardless of them being 'positive' or 'negative'), that is all your own opinion and everyone is entitled to it... but stop forcing it.

While I agree that altruism is the only real way to make your mark in life, there comes a point where altruism becomes agressive and invasive and when it comes to this point it becomes harassment.

So all I have to say to everyone is: Get some real drama and then start ****ing qqing.

My, my Karissa. You seem to have some serious issues.

 

I'm not drama whoring o_o I'm actually trying to counter it by being really dang honest.

There are so many more things that people should try and worry about rather than something so trivial.

I also thought a personal anecdote would be more useful than saying people in Haiti who got hit by constant ravaging natural disasters and outbreaks of disease and etc.
