what the hell happened to the server?

i'm not good at Math but since when a multiplication becomes a subtraction ?

 

im gonna try to explain it again omg.

lets put it this way you have idk your orb that gives 20% buff that gives 20% casting speed and your scroll that gives 30% and your casting a skill of 4 Secs im making it random numbers so that ppl can understand. it would work like this:

20% 20% 30%

5 * 0.80 * 0.80 * 0.70 = 2.7 Casting speed

btw nobody is multiplying here <.<

Lol it happens... So basically we were all right just had different ways of doing the calculation. Doesn't change the fact that 1ms more or less don't change much...

<.< Eh? Core work n Coding Work is almost the same thing lol... Usually there's a Database most likely SQL which handles mobs, NPCs, Vendors, Items n soo n... Then there's the Core which in this case is written in Java... ^^ So yeah I do SQL n Database stuff but not Java/C/C++ or whatever it might be written in lol.

Most servers usually got a DB Dev n a Core Dev since mostly all the work would be too much for a single person just increasing wait time...

Anyway Core n Database as a whole is coding just different languages and applications...

SQL = Structured Query Language which makes it ideal for databases where you can store character/item data and so on...

The Core however controls how skills work, stats and so on...

So Core work is a form of coding that is directed at fixing skills n stats while DB work is coding directed at fixing character/item/npc data...


I can't help but feel that I'm over complexing it lol. I've always been bad at explaining stuff.
