Can anyone tell me the formula for Magic Resist - Magic Accuracy?

How much Magic Accuracy should I have to land a spell on a Magic Resist build, 'coz I have a full magic accuracy +12 anuhart cloth set and a lot of people still resist me, a lot. :andy:

    Magic accuracy/ resist works that

Their magic resist (example 1,900) - you're magic accuracy (example 1,300) = 600 left which every 10 points = 1%... so that would be 60% chance to resist. X_X

If you're having issues make sure you're using a tome... and make sure its fused trying to give u maximum magic accuracy.

In the end though there isn't much beyond that you can do to counter it... :S

The problem is, I bought an EAT orb. This was before Magic resist was working in gamez. It seems I can't stack up enough magic accuracy to counter sorcs with mastarius sets.

I guess I'll just have to join the madness and stack Magic Resist and let my spirit do the killing.

Well it's the only thing I have at the moment. And I'm currently focusing on getting EAT set for my templar so no upgrades for my baby spiritmaster for a while.

What set do you suggest I put Magic Resist on?

I'm full MR, except for my combined tome which is full MA. Works fine.

I HAVE full MA. If by MA you mean Magic Accuracy. I just need to get myself a new tome.

    (x-y)/10=Resist%

BUT that's just in theory, I did some digging just now n apparently every skill got their own base MA n "Resist cap" also can't say it's like this for sure. Since I could not find any credible n consistent info but supposedly there's also a percentage cap of 55%. Not like it matters much tho since SMs got several M.Res debuffs which reduces it by 400 in total. So if you got 1.6k Macc you honestly don't need much more... Heck you'd most likely do well enough with just 1.5k Macc.

    SM(A): 1.6k Macc
    Sorc(B): 2k M.r + Buff

Dispell... ((2000-400)-1600)/10=0 :D We SMs are evil. :D

    Personally... I got 2k MB, 1.6k Macc n 9k Hp n I'm doing great. :D Mix of Mb(In Tome only), Macc n Hp

Sorc... Mmh... Lets assume you pop the Macc buff Sorcs got right? Or am I thinking of Clerics? :S Anyway lets assume you use it as often as possible... Then I'd say go for HP til satisfied, personally I find 9k suitable not too much not too low... But that varies from person to person, then go MB...

Also one thing me n a sorc friend realized are that while SMs are able to CC anyone Sorcs are able to "sleep bomb" people if they're paying attention and since Sorc dmg is mostly burst it won't break sleep in between like for instance an SM where sleep would just break instantly if applied after a DoT...

Anyone 1 fundamental rule I think for every class is that you have to control your opponent doesn't matter what class you are you got ways to CC them you just need to find ways to make use n abuse them for instance a Sorc could Sleep > Nuke > Sleep > Nuke > Stun > Aerial > Nuke for example which makes use of their several sleep skills. Sure Sleep n Root increase their resistance but seriously Sorcs do like what? 3-6k easily. <.< So a little extra resistance won't change much lol.

Anyway this is my opinions so no need to listen. :p

    I can tell u mine..

    i use mb (50%)
    MA(50%)

and i use EAT and full abg jewellery and masta headband

only miss root/sleep/curse of roots/ etc vs a templar, and sins and rangers dont stun me a lot, like 60%.

Gladiator ALWAYS stumble, but if i had all skills to use, is not a problem, illusion, root, BOQ and glacial, arcana thunder and flame spray = Dead. ^^

    Hey =)
    how are you? =)

should add to this that for every level that your enemy or target is 2 or moar levels higher than you they get an additional 10% chance to resist.

3 levels higher than you : +10% chance to resist
4 levels higher than you: +20% chance to resist
5 levels higher than you: +30% chance to resist

so, if your Magic Accuracy is higher than your enemy or target Magic Resist and they are not 3+ levels above you they cant resist any of your spells.

Side note: roots, snares, ccs have a higher chance to be resisted.

not sure but i am sure i can.......
