When someone logs into a PVP area and you kill them is that spawn killing?

Ok,

a guildmate of mine was put in Prison for "Spawn Killing" however the person she killed logged into silentera canyon (a pvp AREA) and she killed him.

SO my question is, is this "Spawn Killing" it was not her fault that player spawned at the bottom of the canyon when we were running through. What do you guys think?

 

it is her fault.
if a character is in the invincible state and you kill them, its spawn killing.

 

Agreed, when you log in and when you teleport somewhere, you are Supposed to be flashing (doesnt work on obelisks and flight pads as you seem to end up falling when landing so are targettable soon as your toon loads in). Spawn killing with a AOE is bug abusing as it circumvents the grace period so they can fully log in and be prepared to defend them selves.

Regardless of if they have just logged in and regardless of location. it is still spawn killing. This game crashes more than windows XP, why would anyone want to log out in a PVP zone? Its only jail time, just get them to suck it up and deal with it. spend a bit of time watching TV, Working or even treating there Woman.

 

spawn camping isn't the real issue of the rule.

I think that calling it such is a blatant trick of words.

It is HITTING THROUGH THE SPAWN PROTECTION that is agaisnt the rules.


Whether this be teleporting, spawning, logging in or whatever... ITS THE SPAWN PROTECTION IN GENERAL.

 

Its not a trick of words, its just easier to type "spawn camping" than "hitting through the spawn protection" lol:biggrin:

But i do agree still, its not spawn camping, its Abusing the grace period of protection when you first log into the zone.
