2.0 Items.pak Guide

lol cant even get on the server, its down again, be4 it goes up ill have to go catch my bus

if u mean 2.1, it didnt exactly fix much, just broke more stuff like the last ones so much for an "update" xD

2.0 pak is definitely the best since some items in NPC's you cant buy without it. thanks.

 

its not really becausde of the items.pak itself but because i included the npcs.pak in the installer

if u extract it elsewhere, u can use the 2.1 items.pak along with this npcs.pak at the same time ^^

the problem with the 2.0 items.pak is that u cant trade taha shield (lots of complaints bout it) and it doesnt work for some windows xp sp3 users. in that case u can just take the npcs.pak from here without using the items.pak

 

i wish there was a way to figure out what causes peoples shops to crash us. that is THE most annoying thing ever.
and nobody knows what items do it....it seems.

 

where should i put the folder?

 

if u mean the installer, it doesnt matter. when u double click it, it will ask for a location. locate ur aion folder

most likely C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Aion or C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSoft\Aion

then click install

Got a question, do european players have to replace in Data/Europe/Items?
Because ever since i updated to 2.1 i can't trade betewen my characters. Thanks in advance if you answer.

its not about where u r located physically, its about which client u use. i have a US client even though i am in europe so i have mine in the USA folder. the 2.0 items.pak works with 2.1, only taha shield cant be traded. im using the 2.1 items.pak atm

btw what u mentioned is not a possible location, the 2 locations r:
Data\USA\Items
Data\Items

only 1 of those 2, if it doesnt work in 1, try the other instead (i suggest u backup the old items.pak in each folder so u dont need to repair, can just paste the old 1 back)

which is a dead link if u havent checked besides the fact that her guide is wrong and it doesnt work for some people. just because most people have a US client doesnt mean it goes ONLY to the USA folder. had to help a lot of people with this already

What im doing wrong?:O

 

is the folder set to read only? that could cause it to be unable to extract it there

in any case, extract it somewhere else and copy paste it to the locations it was unable to extract to

EDIT: OOOOH ur game was running wasnt it xD the files r in use so they cant be overwritten

the npc pak for aether extractor and sold out fix doesnt work for me huhu....

 

make sure ur game isnt running when u extract it, files in use cant be overwritten

also make sure ur just extracting it into ur ncsoft\aion folder, it puts it in the right place for u
