Any tips?

I'm downloading Photoshop right now and going to attempt to make my very first signature. Any good tips/comments?

I just installed GIMP so we're going to see how well this works xD

 

Just be creative,experiment and you'll be good in no time.
Don't be afraid to read some tutorials over the internet,they help.Other than that no tips for you yet,place me your first sig that you make and I'd love to critique it,good luck !

This is going to be difficult because I need to take a picture from an anime, since it appears on google there is no picture of Shichika in his completed mode yet 3:

 

Here's a good website that you can use for renders,they have high quality renders ready for registed users.The forums are wonderful too and you can learn a lot there.I'll pm you the website since I am pretty sure advertising is not allowed.

 

I use gimp ;D it works pretty well. :3

Also forces me to think outside the box rather than spam -GAUZZIAN BLUR!-

gimp is good too.

and the only tips that i can give you is just be creative you dont need to spam every filter to make a good looking sig, hmmm first i think you should try with crop pictures dont do anything with renders yet.

btw the horizontal line transparency cover up thingy is called scalines o.o

o_o i dont hate it i used them when i have to, but when the picture is already overloaded i just try to make it look simple so the less filters the best atleast for me

 

I ended up using two programs....

Microsoft paint and Microsoft powerpoint. Uploading sig momentarily.

 

Yes, its not good to use if there is alot of effects together

the first one looks better to me the scanlines on the second one just make it look bad
