Hello folks,

Let's discuss about the music...

We all like to listen to the music while we are - doing something, going somewhere, waiting for someone, being at work, trying to relax after a bad day, driving somewhere, eating, studying, making love etc.

It's a fact that the music is very important part in our daliy life. We cannot live without it (-history of the music proofs this-). We like to express our feeling with songs. Music makes us feel better...

This thread's goal is to find out what does the music mean for everyone of you. It doesn't make any difference which gender of the music each one of you prefers to listen to, just how do you feel inside of your body.

You can also post a song that you like the most or the one that touches your heart/ soul.

So, let's try to describe the meaning of the music for you. Shall we?

Music to me is something to listen to and it keeps me from going crazy when I'm bored.



It's a life saver.

For me, the music lyrically has to hold value, and actually mean something. These songs here have deep meanings, and are just the type of songs that have saved me once or twice before..

 

Music is the medium that brings together all the aspects of life, and converts it all into one simple form of expression. Music is a way of escaping reality, transcending beyond any human feelings. But most importantly, music is a way of bringing a group of people together, to better understand one another.

I went to the Roger Waters Pink Floyd "The wall" concert recently. One of my favorite bands, and definitely my favorite performance.

Music has a lot of meanings and uses for me and I enjoy listening to all kinds. From just rocking the mosh pit with my friends to some heavy metal and death metal. To working out to some rock and death metal, or even just chilling to a new anime opening.

When I have time I just like to chill and think about my life, what I experienced and what I plan to do in the future to something soft.

It probably saved my life when I was in the National Guard and was in Iraq.(thats right I was in Iraq. Yes I saw combat, and NO I was not a "pileot" so dont even ask if I was).

Music comes in handy everywhere from messing around with my friends while free sparring at summer camp. Put on some good music then freespar 5v1. Its a s***ton of fun or just helping pass the time by at work. At work I have a "magic Ipod" that the guys love as everytime I go off to to do something someone always changes it to a song they like to rock out too and they usually max out the volume on my docking station.

Everything has much more of an impact with music. From RL stuff to gaming. I was playing Mass Effect 2 the other day to work on my new playthrough that I want to transfer over to ME3 and when I did the suicide mission against the collectors the music was the first thing I noticed. I really did feel like I was saving the galaxay and making the universe a better place and I thought to myself. Damn, this wouldn't be nearly as epic without that kickass music.

I may have rambled on but heres the point. Music defines us. It's one of the things that makes us who we are.

well, music helps me get relaxed, music helps me get "hyper" when i need it, helps me to sleep, keeps me from being bored, makes some long waits shorter, among other stuff. music helps me in a lot of situations and usually its always metal but different kinds of course, some people think im weird cause metal gets me relaxed or i fall asleep with it, but what can i say? its just my taste e.e

 

Music has gotten me through the harshest depressions, and even the best of times. I'm pretty much listening to music 24/7
