love can happen in a sec. or in years. it's up to you to believe it or not. but what gives you the right to say and judge what he felt wasn't love? just because it never happened to you doesn't mean it wont happen to everyone else. just because you think you're the center of the universe and everyone else should be like you, you're not. you can't decide what people felt was real or not, you can't decide what OP felt was love or not. because, are you cupid? don't think so. if you say you're cupid, take the diaper off. it stinks.

moving on, i read the OP's post, and i kinda felt "i've been there bro". i was once swore off relationships, like him. though mine is only for a year, unlike his 5 years. and then i met a chick that made me feel "maybe not all relationship will screw me in the ass". so i get back into the game, and it bite me in the ass. i'm not sure if i loved that woman, but what hurts me more was the fact that i gave a woman a chance, and she ruined it. that's like having one big slappin' "i told you so" on your face. it hurts. the time was rather irrelevant because what hurts more was the fact that i let it happen.

One person's reason is everyone else' excuse, that's what i see here. his reason to be sad, is an "excuse for attention" to most of you, and you all make fun of the guy. yeah he shouldn't have posted something sensitive in a forum filled with piranha-like community, that would chew him to dust if given the chance. but like he said, he considered the community as his family. i don't know about you guys, but if a friend consider me a family, i'd be flattered, and not making fun of his randomly-given trust towards me.

Added: And people aren't worth that sort of emotional attachment. just go and do things for yourself like hit the gym or tan or get a nice haircut or new clothes or something to make yourself feel better all snappy-like.

Its called displacement, but it works wonders. Last breakup I had I told myself I would turn everything around and would work even harder than before... just to make sure they regret it.

after such huge of work finally scientists reviled what love is... its just a simple feeling which comes out from brain and not from heart as everyone says and it can be controlled... i dunno how( ask aegies though) u can prevent everything using ur brain, even any kind of physical attack can be resisted, if only u believe... so shortly love doesnot exist at all lol ....

 

umm.. duh? love is emotion, and emotion comes from the brain, like anger, happiness, sorrow, etc etc. if you're dismissing one emotion just because it came from the brain, you might as well dismiss all form of emotion. >_>

but i do believe that given enough effort, one can stop anything using their brain (except a speeding bullet heading for their body.. or sledge hammer.. or speeding truck..) and yeah it can be controlled. but depends on the person, since some people can't control their anger, some can't stop weeping when watching some chick flick, some can't stop laughing at a dude getting ran over by a bus (or is it just me o.o?). not everyone can control how their brain works and what they "feel", cuz if they can, we wont have psychopathic murderers (they lack impulse control.).

then again i never studied a brain that much before. *drags aegis here* what's your take on brain + emotion + control?
