Your Goals in Life!

Here I am, once again creating a topic totally different and unusual, as always!

I know I've said it, but I think it's really amazing that we have the opportunity to talk with people from all over the world. Our grandparents and even our parents never had the opportunity we now have to make friends across the world and talk with them as if they were your neighbors! That is why I insist on knowing more of you, because it is a great joy to share this world with you!


I would like to ask you all, what's the objective you have in your lives! I know this is very personal, but I ask because I would love to know what people around the world want, where you focus your efforts and for what do you live!

Before anything else too, would like to say that no goal in life is better than another, after all we are all different and have different desires, so this topic was not meant to belittle or compare, but to know each other better!

Let me begin by saying my goals and you may follow the same scheme.


Objective:

Enlightenment - Desire with the teachings of the Universal Masters like Buddha, Shiva, Krishna, Jesus, finally expanding my consciousness in order to embrace everyone and everything in this universe, and thereby bring peace to the hearts of all people and all beings in this universe.

Obstacles:

Although it is very difficult because I am not perfect and I have several mistakes, try every day to accomplish this task, whatever the time it cost! I always try to keep myself open to all kinds of knowledge and people, because I know that everything will help me to free myself from my own concepts and for what I believe is right, it will bring humility to my heart and help me be more tolerant of too, so I can understand them and help them!

I feel sad, feel angry, I am glad and happy too, after all I am a normal person. But with meditation I try to base my mind in order to understand the nature of all things and break free of my addictions, because I believe that addictions are such that make me suffer, because not everything in life is as always we would like it to be!

Conclusion:

That's my biggest goal. There is nothing else I want in life. Not interested in material goods, although I know they are important because they can offer us great opportunities to grow if we use such property. I believe we should hold the possessions with open hands, because in the end, die and will not take anything with us.

Although I have a girlfriend, do not expect to be loved by her, but I hope to overcome my problems and selfish to love her truly. It's easy to be loved, love is hard and that's my goal. I would also love everybody like I love the dearest people in my life because I know that all are equal!

Wisdom is practically my only interest in life, because I know that is something useful to me and to the world and nobody can steal it from me ... but I also know that I can not hold on to this wisdom, because after death, it also will "disappear" or become a kind of higher knowledge.

Why play AION:

Because I believe it is a great way to expand my mind better recognize income people around the world, who can teach me things I never knew existed!

your topics are always so quasi-religious. You may not be trying to, but you end up speaking like a preacher. I understand you are simply speaking from YOUR POV and not others, nor forcing your beliefs onto others, but its still an uncomfortable topic for a game related forums and not everyone appreciates it, tbh

on topic: I have all the material goods I neeed for life already. I just want some recognition cause my dad's company is private, and well, I like attention ;o. Iunno, haven't really thought about it, just a good life that is filled with happiness.

 

Yes, I know that!

I know that my words look like some fanatic teaching for people that is not accustomed with this culture!

But for me it is so natural talking about that, it is so natural search for one higher purpose in the life and share this search with people that I can't lose the oportunity to talk about it!

Yes, here we have one forum that focus in one game, but I think in this session we can talk about that and anyone is forced to participate, if do not want!

And it is my goals, just that! We can not blame one person for this person's goals! Not that you are doing this, I just talking about! As I said, we have people that have just material goals...we have people that have materials and spirituals goals and people that only have spiritual goals!

If the rights of each are preserved, if some person complies with the objective of the next, why can not express themselve and show something different to the others?

If I'm wrong, please, maybe some Adminsitrators can tell me if I can't talk about this topics!

Ah and one important thing! I saw here in this forum so much disrespect, such intolerance and I do not accept that, but I try to understand the other and why this people have so much hate in the heart! Why the others can not learn this too!? As I said...It is easy be understood, loved...but hard understand and love! We coexist in this world, so it is our duty to be mature enough to understand others and not just being understood

 

I just want my life to have some purpose other than just working my ass off to make my boss rich, retire, then die. And, this topic is ok to talk about so long as we don't get into religion or politics or start flaming each other,

My goals in life are to live happily, make the most of my time, but mostly to raise a healthy family..

Things like mansions and whatnot really don't mean a lot to me, just enough to live comfortably would suffice...

Agreed. Mansions and fancy cars are so unnecessary. My uncle has a ferrari and a huge house, and its more of a hassle than anything. The house has plenty of unused space, and its a pain in the ass to clean it. He worries constantly about the Ferrari, and makes my cousin wait by it wherever they go. Its just pointless...all for showing off.

 

Just seemed like a huge waste of money, for 'bragging rights' I'll brag about my healthy children getting good grades, that's more important to me than a car that'll only run for so long anyways.

 

my goals

Get rich. not to show off or anything. it's just that i want an easy life and being poor sucks. especially since my body kept getting fever from mosquito bites. and i desire lots of stuff that i can't afford. like bikes, computer, a frickin' ps3 etc etc. >_>

train my body and push it to the limits. just because i've been weak most of my life and all fights i've won was due to cheapshots. (nut buster anyone?) just once i want to win in a fair fight.


enjoy what life have to offer after achieving the two. like street racing, bungee jumping, sky diving, learn how to frickin' swim (and hopefully learn from an attractive female instructor), enter martial arts tournaments, and play video games.

and go back to college. just because i quit halfway and i want to finish it.

and have like 6 kids. i want 12 but i don't think any sane woman would say "yes" to that and i'm not fond of the insane category. i want many kids because i grew up alone(well my brother's an ******* and was never "there"). i want my kids to grow up and have each other.

i know my goals are focused on worldly gains and crap. but my other goals relies on money, and being rich just happen to be "essential" part of the big plan. XD

Make my own money by work, to be successful, and be able to feed my wife and my children in the future, and see their happy faces are more than happiness for me. To protect them and love them. If those all achieved, my goals in my life have been reached. The last goal is to see my own children successful.

Well I'm still a high schooler though so for now my goal is to graduate and also make good progress in college later. :x

Anyway, I have no specific goal in live. All I want is a good income, to support my family, a decent house, that would hold us all nicely. And having the ability to keep the smile on their faces.
