Have a question about "Account/Items Stealing" issues

This thread is for all who knows about any appropriate information about "Account/Items Hacking Issues".

My query is, how about if someone knows your account info and then stole all the items on it, is there any appropriate judgement for the victim and for the "CONFIRMED" stealer? And if there's, please elaborate the rules intended for this issue.

Need some help AM's and GM's specially Bryne.

elaborate who this "SOMEONE" is... I think the rule is if u give away ur account info then the GM's or the Administration has no power or rule on it AFAIK.

 

The rules are veary clear : DON'T GIVE YOUR ACCOUNT INFOS BECAUSE THE ADMIN WON'T REFUND YOUR ITEMS IF STOLEN.

 

Well here is some tips for you'r account safety, credits to another forum.


1- Use an UPDATED Anti-Virus/Spyware/Adware. This is essential.
Avg or Kaspersky is enough for that I think. Btw. Choose Iceword at the same time is better.

2- Don't use the same ID/Password of your game on Forums.

3- Do NOT use illegal 3rd party programs (Cracked programs). Since most of 'em are viruses.DO NOT use bot.I know its well for some lazy bones. BUT. Its danger.

4- Be careful with the files you open (recent downloads). Also I'd recommend checking every downloaded file with an anti-virus.Dont click the link if you dont know if its safe.

5- We all know this one. DO NOT share your accounts with others.

6- Keep the "Remember Me" option always checked, doing so will save you from re-typing your account info if you've had a keylogger on your computer.

7- And the last but not least.. ALWAYS use a secure password.

8- DO NOT TRUST ANYONE. who knows if the person you're giving your account info has keylogger and such malicious programs on there computers.

 

In "Giving the Account Info" it is. But what if the stealer hacked the account and admitted that he/she did the stealing, is there still no rules intended on it?

 

You'd need proof of the stealer admitting it, but in the past if someone got into your account it was pretty much tough luck. Also you are still responsible for your account so if someone is able to get the info and log in and if they get banned for something like speedhacking then it will stay banned.

If you have proof that someone admitted to hacking it then you're best course of action is to send an email to [email protected] or PM Carl to see if something can be worked out.

 

okay thanks for the info. yes I have proofs and evidences for admitting the hacks. my only problem is that it was a Screen Shot of our conversation (me and the hacker) and we did the conversation through our native language (BISAYA). But I know there are more "bisaya"(and I need your help) players here in gamez that will prove the translations of our conversations.
