Clerics in this server

So I reached the point where I decided to get my abg set but I am still hesitant about keeping my cleric.
I have full anuhart set +10 and still get killed easily by 2-3 hits from rangers and glads, do clerics stand a chance in this server? I don't see any in the top 50... And well, I don't see many clerics in general. I played on retail and clerics are extremely competitive, the question is...
Let's say a cleric and a glad fight, both abg sets and controlled by equally skilled players, what would the outcome be? And against a ranger?

I think the only class 1v1 you should have a problem with is a SM who fearlocks you, if you know what you're doing.

if you're abg and going full mresist ull be squishy against zergs, but you'll do heck of a job in 1v1
you can try to add some block and keep 2k mresist or 2.1k
thats if u can afford abg accesory + set

i am cleric with NHDE armor and lvl 50 abyss acces. and i can kill glad or a ranger

 

Oh my, Clerics are terribly good if you know how to use them.

 

Clerics were so much cooler with Deity transformations. XD

 

I love clerics thats my first favorte char in aion. . . u can kill a glad or ranger. . .if ur not in a slowhands

Against rangers, try to use Blind before it stuns you. If you're too late and it stuns you anyways, use Remove Shock and then Blind as soon as possible. Then use Punishing Wind (if you're an Asmodian, don't know the Elyos' name for that skill) and stun it, just in case. A couple of DOT (use your summons, Earth's Wrath, Chastisement, etcetera) and then you go for the Punishing Earth chain. It should be dead even if the Divine Spark doesn't trigger.

As regards gladiators, it's pretty much the same. I prefer using Blessed Shield before facing one, just in case. It'll probably try a chain on you, so stun it before it stuns you (Punishing Wind->Infernal Blaze). Then Blind, then your summons and a DOT if you wish, then Call Lightning (oh yeah), then the Punishing Earth chain.

I still have trouble dealing with Sorcerers. If you have a Magic Resist build, you might resist a couple of spells, but the damage burst might still be too much. Even if you use both shields (Blessed Shield and Immortal Shroud) you won't have time to even cast your summons before it puts you to sleep or turns you into a tree, then it'll wait until your shields are out. (Note: I've tried my magic resist against a sorcerer about... a week ago. I don't know if it's been fixed.)

If the spiritmaster has full Magical Accuracy, then it'll spam fear until you're dead. So run.

Spiritmaster and Sorcerer are the two classes I try to avoid when PvPing. I still don't have the silence godstone, though... (Khrudgelmir's Silence). Anyways, if you practice a little, you won't have problems with these other classes. Most of them start running from you when you cast Blind on them

Oh, one more thing. I wrote all this bearing in mind 1v1 pvp. If it's just you against two gladiators or two rangers things will get difficult. Not impossible, but still a lot more difficult.

my advice : dont try to confront sorcs without party . u wont be able to kill 1.75k mrez nukin' machine

 

just kite them, they probably wont die as quickly because of trigger rates but yeah,
and sms, cast your servants on him/her and just keep running until the servants disappear and then summon again, ^^

Calith is the best cleric. He just never dies and party with him just wipe all Zergs. May be ask him to teach you if he wants.

Hey. start learning how to be a real cleric and i guess you'll be destined to own. ^^ Use your prot buffs to your maximum, and you will learn the terrible awesomeness of a cleric. ^^
