    Introduction

A Ranger excels in archery. Not only can it expertly wield a bow, but also a sword and dagger for close combat. The Ranger is also a master with various traps, making it both a formidable opponent on its own and a valued member of any group.

    The Good
    •Excellent burst damage capability
    •Excellent mobility
•Excellent solo play capability (PvE + PvP)
    •Good utility skills
•Able to kite, ability to attack from a distance

    The Bad
    •Extremely low survivability
•Somewhat low damage with normal attacks
    •Must purchase and carry arrows

    Attributes and Stats %

Rangers on creation have the following base attributes:
Power: 100 - affects physical damage
Health: 100 - affects hit points and recovery rate
Agility: 115 - affects evasion, parry and block rates
Accuracy: 115 - affects chance to hit and critically hit rate (the manastone that increases Accuracy does not affect this attribute, it affects the stat with the same name found under your offensive stats)
Knowledge: 90 - affects spell damage and hit rate
Will: 90 - affects mana pool and mana recovery rate

In addition there are the following statistics that can be modified by gear and manastone choices:
    Attack: affects physical damage
Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with weapons or abilites, does counteract Evasion, Block and Parry
Crit Rate: used to calculate chance to score a critical hit. from 0 to 440 every 10 crit is 1%, 440 to 660 every 20 crit is 1%, 660 to 1000 every 50 crit is 1%.
Attack Speed: delay between attacks, also affects casting animation speed (max Attack Speed is equivalent to half of the Attack Speed of the weapon equip)
Speed: movement speed (max running speed is 12.0 and max flying speed is 16.0)
Magic Boost: affects magical damage, roughly 10 points of Magic Boost is equivalent to .8% increase in your spell damage (cap is 2600)
Magic Accuracy: used to calculate chance to hit with spells, does counteract Magic Resist
Magic Resist: In every 10 Magic Resist (Mres) over Magic Accuracy (Maccu) increases 1% to resist, for each level you have over your opponent after 2 levels, you gain 10 Mres over them (caps at 95%)
Evasion: In every 10 Evasion over Accuracy increases 1% to evade an attack(caps at 30%),
Parry: In every 10 Parry over Accuracy increases 1% to parry an attack(caps at 40%)
Block: In every 10 Block over accuracy increases 1% an attack (caps at 50%)
Physical Defense: affects physical damage taken from melee and ranged attacks
Magical Resistance: chance to resist damage or debuffs from spells
Fire/Wind/Water/Earth Resistance: affects damage taken from spells

    Stigma Skills

    First Stigma Tree:

    Retreating Slash
    Breath of Nature
    Trap of Slowing
    Gale Arrow
    Speed of the Wind
    Heart Shot
    Blazing Trap
    Lightning Arrow

    Second Stigma Tree:

    Bow of Blessing
    Focus Shots
    Arrow Deluge
    Explosive Arrow
    Hunter's Might
    Call Condor
    Lethal Arrow
    Sharpen Arrows
    Agonizing Arrow

    Other Stigma:

    Bestial Fury
    Nature's Resolve
    Sleep Arrow
    Silence Arrow
    Trap of Clairvoyance
    Sniper Stance
    Snare Trap
    Holy Arrow (Elyos)
    Deadly Arrow (Asmodian)

    Range

Rangers have long-, medium-, and short-distance shots at 25m, 20m, and 15m respectively, with most abilites having a 25m range. Range is increased by a level 25 passive skill, and is increased by an additional 10% while in flight. There is no dead-zone or minimum range. There are also some skills/buffs that affect the range of the user.

    Playing Style

A Ranger excels at long range burst type dps. Rangers do have a variety of skills that provide debuffs and snares on a target, the main focus of the class is to inflict high damage very quickly from afar.To aid in this focus, Rangers also have a variety of survival skills and traps that can keep enemies at bay and allow for the Ranger to quickly put distance between them and their target. Once at optimal distance, the Rangers then burst their target down quickly and efficiently. On the other hand, Rangers can dual wield (dagger or sword) but only only have minimal skills to apply, their main power comes from the use of a bow.

    Gears

A Ranger can wear cloth and leather armor, as well as all types of head armor pieces. You should prefer leather over cloth.

In most scenarios, be it PvE or PvP, most rangers exclusively focus on maximizing their attack. This is done by armsfusing their bow and enchanting it to a high level as soon as possible.Excellent armor is beneficial but not absolutely necessary to excel with this class. However, it is imperative that all rangers acquire armor that boosts both their movement speed on the ground and flight speed in the air to ensure that they can stay at optimal range from their target while bursting it down.

After 1.9 and the introduction of Strike Resist, it has become less important to optimize attack. Rangers now have to boost their crit stat to overcome strike resist stats against opponents with enchanted armor. After meeting that crit range, socketing HP instead of attack is preferred. A 10-k HP glass-cannon is preferable over a 6-k HP nuke-tissue. With a larger health pool, you can take down more targets, and with potions and recovery stones you are able to handle a vast majority of the other classes. Armor and weapon choices should prioritize manastone sockets over minimal statistic changes. In the end, manastone sockets are much more beneficial.

    Manastone
Refer to this thread >> Vaugn's Manastone Guide

    PVE

In solo play, the Ranger can kite any target while still maintaining a high rate of dps. As mobs are kited and do not actually get into melee range, a good Ranger will almost never get hit by an enemy mob. Not only does this allows Rangers to kill mobs non-stop very quickly, it also allows for Rangers to solo kill elite mobs, which provide much more experience than normal mobs.

In group play, Rangers make a good addition to the party as they can provide good long range dps, can provide minimal CC with the use of their traps or Sleep Arrow, and interrupt enemy skills by silencing enemies with their Silence Arrow.

    PvP

In solo PvP, Rangers can take down other players very quickly as they can get the element of surprise with the use of their hide skill. The buffs skills they acquire can boost damage, accuracy, evasion and attack speed to deal with opponent with ease.

In group PvP, Rangers usually target the back line of the enemy group. With their far range and quick, high damage skills, Rangers can burst down targets that are unprepared very quickly. However, it should be noted that Rangers have one of the lowest HP pools and do not have much in the way of direct damage mitigation. As such, if snared, stunned, or otherwise immobilized by an enemy, Rangers can be killed very quickly.

Overall, Rangers require a high degree of skill level to play effectively. Mastering techniques such as the "jump shot" and learning how to perfectly position yourself can mean the difference between achieving a flawless kill, or getting snared and dispatched by an enemy. Excellent situational awareness and on-the-fly thinking are what makes or breaks this class in PvP scenarios.

    Must purchase and carry arrows.

You mean most expensive class with this? And carrying arrows isn't that much of a great deal since we can be able to get a ton of bag slots.

For the rest: No flaws. Good guide.

Oh, I were thinking it would cost much for newb esp on a low-rate server or in retail but not in Gamez, people here are rich and can afford any NPC items. Deleted a few things before posting the thread including some of the stigma stuffs since they Gamez is a free stigma server. So this one is really not a complete guide :p

    Suggestion For High Survivability :
    Critical +17
Make your Critical Rate to 550 - 700 < this should do the damage >
    others is HP+95 < Gain Survivability >

well tell me if i'm wrong....
