Cannot Open the game...

Hey, New user here trying to play Aion with my wife (she's been nagging me to play it for ages but we've never made it work)

Now i've spent a good while searching through the forums to work out what i may have done wrong, but i cant find anything out...


So here is what i've done, Installed NCLauncher and set language to English and Reigon to N.A.

- Installed Aion

- Installed Your Patch

- Closed the NCLauncher

- Run your game client...

Now the problem i get is, as soon as i come to the "NCSoft" logo i get "Aion has crashed"

I cant seem to do anything to get past this problem. i've tried checking the language, checking and verifying the files and even re-installing (that took ages ) But maybe someone has had this error and can help me out....


Please let me know if there is anything else you need to know...

yeah the repair does a lot of things, helps most of the time

btw make sure the launcher is set to region: north america, private servers wont work otherwise

 

Tried that, it verifyed all the files then i reinstalled the Gamerz Client, but still cant get past the black "NcSoft" screen.

 

mind posting ur hardware? also if its a specific error, post it here

type dxdiag into the start menu. ull see ur processor, RAM and graphics card model. anyways judging by ur processor ur pc is pretty new by that i can almost say its gonna be a DirectX related error but we will see

ah thought so, its gonna be a DirectX issue and WOW ur pc is awesome (damn u) lol xD

the problem here is that ur graphics card is a DirectX 11 card (and u have DirectX 11 installed), but aion is a DirectX 9 game (which means it wont see DirectX 11, it just thinks u dont have any installed)

SO...u need to download and install DirectX 9.0c (think it might even work with DirectX 10)

dont worry it wont damage or overwrite ur DirectX 11, it will just add the necessary files required to run the game (and any older games that dont support the new DirectX)
