Meditation refers to any of a family of practices in which the practitioner trains his or her mind or self-induces a mode of consciousness in order to realize some benefit.

Meditation is generally an internal, personal practice and done without any external involvement, except perhaps prayer beads to count prayers. Meditation often involves invoking or cultivating a feeling or internal state, such as compassion, or attending to a specific focal point. The term can refer to the state itself, as well as to practices or techniques employed to cultivate the state.

There are dozens or more specific styles of meditation practice. People may mean different things when they use the word, 'meditation'. Meditation has been practiced since antiquity as a component of numerous religious traditions, especially in monastic settings.

A 2007 study by the U.S. government found that nearly 9.4% of U.S. adults (over 20 million) have practiced meditation within the past 12 months, up from 7.6% (more than 15 million people) in 2002.

Since the 1960s, meditation has been the focus of increasing scientific research of uneven rigor and quality. In over 1,000 published research studies, various methods of meditation have been linked to changes in metabolism, blood pressure, brain activation, and other bodily processes. Meditation has been used in clinical settings as a method of stress and pain reduction.

i know that in some country in the world, they decided to test the power of praying. And so they collected a large amount of people to pray for the country's crime records to reduce that year, and surprisingly the power generated by the massive amount of people praying about the same thing actually reduced the crimes by 30-40 % i believe that year.

    With this,
Meditation can help the Fireman on rescue operations by not wearing their bulky suits and be instantly immune to fireXD
    (Lol...... added to the casualties........XD)

Meditation, to people who haven't tried it... its a good thing to seek out people who teach those things...

I bet, after you learned it... You feel much mentally and physically fit than ever...^_^V

I used to regularly practice Chi Kung Meditation for my martial arts, and I noticed a real difference in my speed, power, and reflexes.

Yes! If you meditate or learn something about meditation and try to put it in practice, so you can be called as Yogi!

Hahaha! Yes, you can...you can do much more than only levitate! But...you need to refine your mind like one diamond to do it! You must have a great concentration, a huge concentration!

Hahah, true, but I think they need their bodies to rescue more people, so I don't think they will recue without the right equips!

And you are right! Jut try and you feel the diference when you start to meditate!

Ah so you understand about this! Probably you can feel heat when meditate! Usually Chi Kung do this... if i'm right!

People think that meditation is one mystique and hard practice, but actualy, is simple! The best way to meditate is just observe your breath! Of course we have diferent kinds of meditation, but the base is just clear and focus your mind!

We have the analytical and contemplative meditation. The first is when you focus all your attention on the analysis of a phenomenon such as the question about the nature of things and other meditation is just to watch something, like breathing or the completion of the analytical thought of meditation.

I'm not a master, to be true, I'm anyone, lol! But I like to talk about it!

Yes I did feel heat at times when I meditate. I also did the seven chakra meditation for a while. I had a friend who claimed that he had a freaky experience when he was doing the third eye meditation. He said he was all alone in a dark basement meditating and he had his eyes closed, and suddenly he could see the entire room like it was lit up very brightly. That really freaked him out and he stopped meditating after that.

Ah, very interesting!! Hope you keep meditating, cuz it will open your mind for a new universe, as you already know!

Oh no mate!! Tell him to not stop!!

He is refining his third eye! This is the first sign of clarevidence, it's normal! I know that is a little strange in the beginning, but if you practice you can control this ability and earn others like telephaty!

When you meditate, you low your brain frequency! After do that you access new levels of consciousness/vibration and some phenomena like this one can happen!

Tell him that he don't need to be afraid about this! Of course, after access some levels of consciousness you can see spirits and others things like spirtual masters...but it's other history!
