Kill counts

Back when I played retail you would get credit for a kill even if you just damaged the target but didn't get the last hit..

I noticed that here you only get credit for the kill if you get the last hit, Is that a bug? something that was updated in a recent retail update? or something that was purposely done on this server?

 

That would be to easy, I don't remember it like that on Retail.

 

Yeah thats how it was on retail, I played retail from day one, so maybe it was something that was changed in an update idk thats why I'm asking

 

I'm pretty sure it changed, because I remember back on the lowbie ranger I was making, I'd be excited when I got the kill.

 

no... you get the credit if you have done the most damage on the target...
even if you are last hit.. you wont get the kill if your damage is low

 

yeap, for example, yu produce 90% damage to a target, and he starts to run, and leave yu behind, but someone else kill him, but the kill will be yurs.

 

Hmm, I remember getting a kill count for every PvP encounter I had... but even so does that same rule apply to this server? or is it broken here? or just because everyone on this server does ridiculous amount of damage?

Well I know it doesn't apply here, but I was asking why.. Is it just a "bug" on the servers behalf or... what?

I have 157 total pvps on my retail char @ lvl37 as a templar, they don't do great damage at low levels but yet I still have that many pvps.

idk I guess it doesn't matter but I was just wondering.

 

Completely off subject, but I'm going to make an Asmodian sin over on Lumiel now.

 

You mentioned in the other thread that you donated, so would you even consider seriously moving servers if you can't transfer your gear? and do you think your legion would follow you?

I gave my gear to my BG, I was going to quit but I'll just start new over on lumiel, no big deal. As far as the legion following, I'm not sure but I'll ask in vent tomorrow.

 

Ahh thats cool, maybe you'll get a follower or two. But I don't have an actual legion.. I just made my own so its just me, and I might get two friends to join me soon, so idk what will happen.

And theres like two or three "American" legions but none of them seem to be a dominant force, not that I've seen anyway.
