It's a problem-solving essay. The topic I chose is cigarette addiction. I need 5 paragraphs. I don't know what to write in the body paragraphs and crap it's due tomorrow.

You may want to go into detail of how it affects the psychological aspects of people and reference some articles such as

-How does cigarette smoking affect the neural receptors in the brain? -> Could expand this and make an entire essay easily enough, get into how cigarettte smokers claim to have decreased tension when they are smoking when in reality they are normally over the average of agreessiveness for people and they can only get to a -normal- level of agressiveness when smoking a cigarette.

Could also expand that and go into the different methods of addition. Such as:

-Cross-tolerance (how smoking can increase sensitivity to some similar kinds of drugs and how it can decrease sensitivity to some)
-Functional tolerenace (how the effect of smoking (nicotene) impacts how certain neurotransmitters get to their receptors on neurons)
-metabolic tolerance (how the effect of smoking (nicotene) impacts how the certain neurotransmitters that do get to the receptors (like they successfully do) and how the effects are staggeringly different.

    and then expand from there.

You could go many different ways though, but I have a personal preference for the neurological (which ties into psychological overly-nicely) ends of the discussion. Nicotene is a psychoactive drug afterall, and the fact that it is legal is almost humerous.

Hmm... another way you could go at it is comparing the effects of smoking cigarettes (nicotene based ones) against smoking of marijuana and then get into the ethics behind it.

    ----Marijuana has:
    -less adverse side-effects (substancially less)
    -Low addition rates, low withdrawls
-Was incorrectly defined as an opiate drug, and this legal action still holds today. It is a cannabinoid, not an opiate drug.
-Deaths and other things we push onto this drug are usually from the fact that the drug is, when on the street, exposed to
    1. Inconsistant Rates, often the drug is watered down and cut poorly. Makes it very easy for a "pure" strain to kill people due to overdose.
    2. Since this drug was forced "underground" it is often avaliable only when given by people who have gangs and thus it isn't so much the drug killing but the entire cloud around the drug.

-Could go into aspects such as how medicinal marijuana can be used to help relieve pain in cancer patients (try and pull heartstrings for an effective paper), ease glaucoma, and many other things.

    ----Nicotene has:
    -Severe detrements on health
-High addition rates and terrifyingly difficult withdrawls
-Is still legal -> Government profits and personal agendas.
-Responsible for large number of deaths.

    ----Alcohol has:
    -SEVERE detrements on health
-Still very large addition rates (~30%) The single most abused psychoactive drug! (get stats and pull them from websites to back your claim, as always)
-Terrifying withdrawls (RAnging from delerium tremens to the casual "hangover"
-Responsible for huge amount of deaths.

That would make a rather sturdy ethics paper on smokers addition, very controversial and very interesting topic to do some research into... pull enough facts and extrapolate enough and you'll have a smoking hot paper that will probably blow away any mere bacchelors degree holding teacher ^_^

    Added:

Could say that there are some positive effects of smoking such as inducing coughing, as well.

Could make reference to surgical patients who undergo surgery and how the damage caused by smoking can cause them to recieve amputations and yet their addition is so strong they continue to smoke through a puncture into their esophagus (put the smoke into the hole).

So overall its your essay and just trying to spark some ideas for you to go off of (make sure you take only points in the direction you want to go.)
