Drama is everywhere x.x.

Even in football. Sports headlines are constantly either bashing Chicago or Jay Cutler right now, and Bears fans were just called a "pack of teenage girls" by a sports analyst. Videos of people burning Cutler jerseys are all over the internet, hell my neighbors were doing it yesterday. People are pissed off on both sides ;o. I personally don't know where I fall in the issue, I'm sure most of you don't even know what's going on ;o. But like, why can't people just get along. I'm in the mindset that the Bears weren't even meant to be there in the first place, lets just be glad they got to a NFC title game.

Oh and for you people that say sports aren't even important, you have no idea how bad it is here lol. People are piised, and wearing a packers jersey here won't get you home safely. I mean, tickets for that game were selling for $3k+. I never understood the packers vs bears rivalry but people here take it even more seriously than me ;o.

I guess I just wanted to write about that topic since I'm seeing like 20 articles about it and videos of Cutler crying etc, and stuff. But since no one here follows sports, the questions i think this story contain are,

Is it alright to quit when your fans are booing you?
Do you, as a leader, continue to play through immense pain (it wasn't, just a minor ACL tear D for arguably one of the most important games of your career?
Do you have an obligation to your team and to your city to fight to the bitter end, even if it means going down with the ship?

I dunno, its a big issue here and I dont know where I fall. but Im sick of all the articles, interviews, and drama that is continuously bringing the issue back up. Oh, and I just saw the video of him crying. x.x.

As to the thread, immense stress and pressure I could see really starting to effect people.. but, I'd continue to play and try hard. If you get that far, no reason to quit during what might be one of the most important things that will happen in your life. Regardless of outcome, it's awesome you even got that far right?

Clearly, when you're paying 3k a ticket. And we're talking about people in the intercity area here, people who probably make around 30k a year. But still, its not like you can escape it here, its like everywhere D:
