What I'm Doing

Is the opposite of what I should be doing.

I'm trying to change around my sleep schedule and instead go to sleep early and wake up bright and early in the morning, but right now I'm staying up late again -.-

RIFT beta is very addicting, and as soon as I was about to finally log off, a giant invasion started then I'm all like "D: but I wanna killa da bossa!" so now here I am, forumwhoring when I should be getting some sleep.

Stupid me. Anyway, what is everyone else up to? o:

ignore the fact that I'm starting conversations while ranting that I should be asleep.

 

I'm trying not to get bored of Rift cause I've played the last 3 betas already. I may be playing later today though after class. I definitely want to go into retail though.

 

I'm MSNing, doing a lil farming on some diff. game, and just forums, slightly.

Its left such a good impression on me so far that I'm REALLY convinced about dropping Cataclysm to play it, which is a pretty big deal being that I've played WoW for 6 years and never found a game that made me say "wow, I actually want to play this more". Unfortunately, my guild just gave me 2 weapons worth 30,000 gold each so I'll have to at least raid with them on raid nights to not seem like a complete dick ditching them.

MSNing is always good. What game? I would've never guessed the forums part!

Thats one of the reasons I'm trying to change around my sleep schedule. I hate having rough wake-ups, though if I go to sleep early I wake up probably easier and better than anyone else I know, so as long as I get my sleep schedule back on track with normal society I have it easy xD

What if you have 4 people talking to 4 people of which you are the 4th person talking to 4 people in 4 different windows per 4th person?

 

Yeah. It definitel does have a WoW-esque feel to it, but I find it even better than WoW ever was. If you decide to go retail we could probably group up sometime. I got some friends from Crystal that are also thinking of going retail.

It has similar gameplay to WoW, which is nice because it was really easy and fun for me to pickup, the same type of gameplay I've gotten used to for a long time, though there are some things that just made me absolutely love it so far:

- The layout of quests is similar to Cataclysm (not earlier versions of WoW) in that everything flows from town to town and you don't have as many quests that lead you back to the exact same area you were just at for a quest. Its very fluid and linear.

- The rifts are very interesting, I don't always just go from quest area to quest area being like "meh..time to go over here", because usually whenever I'm going to a new spot, a rift catches my eye. Sometimes I just ignore them, but if I decide to actually engage a rift it always refreshes my current level of entertainment, its not just a boring grind.

- The rifts being a random occurrence leaves me expecting, knowing that I won't run out of stuff to do all the time but at the same time they're not bashing my skull in or getting monotonous by spawning every 2 seconds in the same place or something.

- Rift invasions are simply awesome, they seem like WoW world events, which I always loved seeing everyone come together to do. Fighting your ass off to make it to the top of contribution to get the best rewards is a nice little adrenaline rush, and after finally figuring out how to locate the bosses once they spawn, it got even more entertaining and awesome.

other stuff too, I'm not going to write a giant rift review tonight or anything, but yeah, I haven't even been to battlegrounds/dungeons/raids yet and I'm already fairly convinced that RIFT is worth making the switch.

 

Rather I am the wallet and the chauffeur/butler or w/e you name it.

So Rift is an awesome game? ^_^

 

Mhm, its very good. I can't see how anyone on these forums could possibly dislike it, really, and I don't expect anyone would ;o
