What I'm Doing

I want to pre-order so I can get all the cool in-game items. You get a giant turtle mount at level twenty and special pets if you pre-order.

 

The only thing I don't like about RIFT so far is that my computer cant run it on complete max settings xD. I can put textures to the maximum, but no anti-aliasing, super high detail shadows, etc. (not that I need all of those to be maxed out too but they add depth and I love having them on)

Thats a good sign though, the graphics are great and they really did a good job making it a beautiful game, despite that some mobs have too much of a hellish type theme design, but I guess that fits in with the lore.

Yeah my settings are on high and I rarely lag except for during this beta because of the stress test. I love seeing the rifts open up cause they just put you in an awe state.

I love it as well. The first time I saw a rift outside outside of the beginning area where you knew it was setup as a primary story element, I was like ":OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" then the first time I saw an invasion/water rift I was even more shocked and in awe.

how long does it take to download o.o is it as big as aion o.o like the file

ARE YOU SERIOUS ? How could you ?! knowing beast is gonna break them for .. I hope beast doesnt read this ;_;

 

Also when you're inside a rift area it changes the color of all your surroundings based on what the rift is, until said Rift is defeated (usually takes 2-5 minutes to defeat a Rift unless it gets out of control)

For example, immediately under a Death Rift, the ground turns cracked, scourged, and its basically mixes of Black and purple. All surroundings in the background (the sky, etc.) get a purple tint while you're in the Rift area.

Under a water rift, theres a constant flow of water on the ground with Coral plants laid out. The background turns an aqua-greenish tint.

Theres other types of rifts too - Earth, Life, Fire, Air (and Death/Water, I think thats all of them) but I haven't ever seen any of those yet.
