To Moderators.

You should edit this so the loophole of multiple accounts made before said ban, people like Zenomex have about 9 accounts they can hop about.

 

I certainly hope so. Especially since I personally reported it as harassment. Not to mention his harassing message in my profile comments. (Deleted.) I mean, I get infracted for asking questions.

Unfortunately we will never know. Because discussion of infractions earns another infraction. If she follows her own rules, I will be banned for this post.

Yes I agree with that - people need to be limited to one account.

 

So we have established that these rules are 1.) being half-assedly enforced, 2.) enforced only if the mod on duty dislikes the poster, and 3.) broken by moderators themselves.

How are we as forumites to respect the rules and yourselves as moderators. I can't. I'd have fired you by now for blatant corruption were you a moderator in one of my forums.

 

And you're upset over something that was a mistake and that I sincerely feel sorry about. Yet, you still can't get over it, which is sad cause even news about the whole Cutler thing is dying out now, and imo, that was much worse ;o.

I doubt that Diavol actually got infracted/banned. Unless she does an about face which I hope is the result of this thread. But for example

from a PM of hers to me. That thread was filled with massive flames that were quite over the top, excessive, rude, and harassment. She clearly saw it, but took no action ;o. Of course, after infracting me for being rude for "pretend" deleting a thread cause Cropolite said "$20 this thread won't be deleted"

I'm done with hypocrisies, I think thats enough to enlighten a sane person ;o

Amazingly enough, I'm still on my first account lol, I wont try to hide who I am or change myself to appear like a better person or anything. I'm happy with who I am and what I've done, if people have a problem with that then I feel sorry for the inability to dismiss personal grudges.

 

True, if you fix that loophole, that whole drama thread you and Bella tried to make with alts is even more hypocritical.

And right after Bella PMed me with childish pride over making such a "successful" troll thread, she PMed me information that the thread itself was trying to say should not be shared. Like, LOL?

Nope, they haven't. I have em busy. Report button unfortunately has a time delay of one minute between posts that break rules.

It kinda breaks my heart to see how some of the moderation is nowadays. Theres no discipline whatsoever, so too many moderators are just wandering around mass closing stuff that does not need to be closed, infracting people that don't need to be infracted, showing favoritism, honestly enforcing rules that AREN'T WRITTEN despite that "they're going to be applied soon meep meep!", and not giving any response to the community whatsoever when they do certain actions etc.

Those that do these things take absolutely no initiative to fix their own mistakes, or take accountability for what they do, they simply roam on and repeat the process all day because apparently noone knows how to set them straight anymore.

I feel like by resigning, now that there isn't a dick hardass to piss all the trainees/AMs off all day about stupid ****ing actions they make, the community has gotten 10x worse, and it kindof hurts to feel like you're a part of the cause.

Whats worse is even though some of said staff that moderate in those ways are friends of mine, when I try to present these opinions to them personally and help them out, they ignore me like I'm not even there until I talk about something completely unrelated. It pains me to know that they care so little about bettering themselves and more or less seem like they're instead on a path of vindication.

edit: this is why I took a long break from the forums, and since its repeating itself I don't see much reason why I should even hang around anymore. A bunch of good community members have already left and soon its just going to be "WTS" threads all day :C

Revised version of the forum rules, as seen by your day to day forumite:

2. Listed below will result in warning/infraction/temporary ban:
a. Spamming/trolling the forums. If it doesn't support mod agenda.
b. Excessive saying the same/similar phrase. What does this even mean?
c. Drama/Flame posts or threads. Unless the moderator that sees it happens to agree.
d. Creating threads in sections to increase post count. Holy god look at the pinoy section!
e. Off-topic, excessive bullying, or insulting the poster. Unless the moderator that sees it happens to agree.
f. Pointless or non-constructive posts/threads. Holy god look at the entire forum!
g. Insulting “meme” images (IE: troll face, cool story bro, u mad, etc). Unless it's actually funny.
h. Reviving/bumping threads outside market sections older than 24 hours. This rule is outright stupid in spam forum or came from more than a month ago outside of it.
i. Titles off-topic to the discussion of the thread. Well that's being enforced well... *looks at trade*
j. Improper use of the report button. Using it at all.
k. Non-English language outside of localized or legion recruitment sections. Somehow this gets enforced, regardless of how redundant the rule actually is.
l. @Name threads (Includes Hotspam Section). Use Private Messages. Well that's being enforced well... *looks at spam*
m. Status threads (IE: Bored, Taking a nap, etc). (Includes Hotspam Section) See above.
n. Duplicate/Multiple threads or posts discussing similar topics. Even if the old topic was locked and you have no other means of saying what you need to in a public medium.
o. Hijacking another poster’s thread. HA!
p. Creating a wall of text. Oh shit, the rules thread..
q. Graphic or disturbing content (including Yaoi or Yuri). Unless you are a super mod and want a yuri avatar.
r. Purposely posting in the wrong section. Threads may randomly be moved to spam, however.

@Name threads arent that bad, I don't know why theres a rule against them. Its not meant to be a private message for a reason, usually people that make them want to engage the rest of the forums in talk too, and it falls directly under suitable threads for hot spam. Why do we even have hot spam anymore if stuff even inside it is frowned upon so harshly?

Rules against a wall of text is just the dumbest thing I've ever heard of in the existence of any forum ever. Walls of text don't have to be read by anyone if they choose to just skip over it, so whats the big deal? Thats like saying "you cant make smart, well thought, detailed responses that cover all the corners, because well I DONT WANT YOU TO"

And I fully agree with your perspective on rule Q, theres too many staff members who abuse it because they can.

 

They probably made the @name thread rule because of Ryan and his old rapid threads. x.x
