Official RIFT thread ;o

Still no Other Games section of the forums ;__; so I guess I'll just make a new thread about RIFT since thats what I'm about to talk about!

I had lots more fun on RIFT today too, and apparently they're extending this beta phase until saturday so I get a bit longer to play it than they had originally announced.

Finally got to level 20 and got quests to go to the next zone, though I haven't started there yet. I also changed my classes/talents/whatever and its going a loooooooooot faster

Has anyone else tried it yet besides Selik? And selik how far have you gotten? How are you enjoying it o:

On my Guardian character I got up to level 20 on Byriel, but I rerolled on a different server as that server is almost always full. I'm a Defiant this time around but only level 10. I would play more, but I'm afraid I'll get too bored of the game come release cause I've already played the first 20 or so levels of one side. Trying to steer clear of that.

 

Yeah I did that for the cataclysm beta, but I'm having trouble holding myself back on RIFT ;o

Yeah I was playing with a few players from Crystal but I let them go off on their own. I may play some more after I get off work tomorrow with my level 10 Defiant lol. This game for me is a suitable replacement to tide me over until GW2 comes out.

 

I gave up on rift, the pvp bored me x.x

 

Hmm...i wonder if I can live stream it on xfire..

The PvP seems fine to me so far. Crap xfire wont recognize it D:

 

Meh I like PvP, but that takes a backseat for me in most MMO's. I normally play MMO's for the PvE aspect of it. I love good lore in MMO's if they flow well with the campaign quests and what not. Just random exploring is also fun.

Lol, I only enjoy low level - End game Pvp x.x That's why I was annoyed at Retail for a while - End less.... FT/Etc. It didn't get fun until I got Mira/50.

 

Lol yeah. That was definitely fun though if you had a good legion at first.

Anyways I'm definitely enjoying Rift though. It's proving to be a good contender for my money.

 

I'm looking more into Tera/Aion 2.5 :3 Rift is off the list for me x.x

 

Tera's got awhile and the Aion 2.5 really doesn't change much according to the patch notes. It adds like two new instances, updates graphics and the UI, and a couple of other things.

 

So I just traveled to my next zone and damn, its pretty beautiful so far. I'm really enjoying the scenery and how they made the zone, but I guess sometimes I personally get too into the feel of zones and blab on about how beautiful they are

 

I have a level 19 Assassin/Riftstalker which is pretty fun but as soon as i am target by ranged DPS i cant seem to get away, even with my Shadow Shift (Teleport).

So i re-rolled and got myself a level 19 Marskman/Sab/Ranger for PvP and Ranger/Mark for PvE.

Ranged classes are so much fun in PvP, i love how far away i can attack i am just getting annoyed at the idiots who dont know that they have to get the flag to win lol.

Other aspects of the game are pretty tasty with quirky quests that tear you away from the boring, usual type quests, i actually for the first time ever enjoy just questing, especially on my ranger as he farms sooo quick compared to melee classes.

Not found that many bugs to be honest but i have reported a few minor ones.

So far its pretty good and fills in the gap between nothing and SWTOR
