I don't think "they" is the right word. Most of the moderators and a few of the AMs join in the joke threads and @threads, etc. I never understood this recent pointless crusade to be honest. Forums were fine beforehand, I see no reason to try and "fix" them

 

This reminds me, I wanted to make a guide on how to actually deal with criticism without being overly sensitive about it.

Another warning. For being dramatic. Bella, I just want you to respond to the concerns of the community. The only people willing to defend you apparantly are your fellow GMs, who are simply out numbered by over 100 to one.

Who is picking GMs these days? What I want is already clear. Read the OP.

Bryne, I love you to death, and I respect you. But what you are saying doesn't entirely make sense and doesn't take into account the argument my fellow forumites are trying to make.

1.) Insults to staff are few and far inbetween. There are a few though, but I imagine they are mostly attempts to get staff to actually get mad enough to come out and address the issues at hand.

2.) This thread majorly concerns the simple fact that the rules in place are a.) mostly pointless, vague, and idiotic, and b.) selectively enforced.

Your GM team doesn't have the honesty it once had, and I'm calling it out.

 

Bryne has always been one of my most respected GMs, and I love her to death as well, but I made sure she was made HGM before I left so she could keep the staff organized and in line but I don't think the HGMs have been as strict as they need to be D: as good of GMs as they are, they're too nice to their own staff imo, and from it we get abominations :C

 

Case presented to Lautaro. Hopefully an admin would be willing to help resolve what the GM team is not.

I thought it was just because I instilled a lot of animosity between us two lmao. But yeah, I guess rather than being upfront and making some sort of reconciliation where you do admit that

A) Your rules are quite pointless or idiotic since you don't enforce them half the time they are broken or you break them yourself. (Wall of texts LOL, @threads, status threads, sig rules, vulgarity, sexual references, etc.)

B) That you have strong bias. I mean, you thanked a flame post towards me that was completely uncalled for lmao. I don't care that you don't like me, but publicly making it so obvious when you're in a position of authority is kinda insolent. And most certainly don't let it affect your judgement when it comes to making decisions on infractions and the such.

Honestly, I think most of the community would just like things to return to how they were. If you want to keep your figurehead position, so be it, but there was absolutely no need to start deleting @threads and the such since they were just joking around lol. But you did that in some silly effort to try and ban me cropo and ada and started this whole mess x.x. Just...stop. and the criticism of you will stop.

Sidenote: You better add the "you can't make PMs public" into the rules. Because I see you can't discuss infractions and warnings publicly, but the PM I "made public" was completely unrelated to any infraction or warning yet you gave me an infraction for it. Of course, this is overlooking the huge trouble you yourself caused by making a certain PM public.

 

I've taken the liberty to modify the rules to state what I believe is more fair and sensible. If anyone has a problem with these, I'm willing to discuss it.

 

I had made perfectly reasonable rules. Reading over those looks like mine just got chopped up to make them small rules (not saying you were the cause of this obviously), which opened up a lot of stupid loopholes that are still being enforced. What was so bad about what we had?

You will find several complaints about specific rules scattered in the thread. Many of them were just repeated and thus redundant. Some of them were simply idiotic, such as the no @whoever threads in the spam forum. Rules stating you can't address complaints in a public setting is outrageous.

Of course the rules themselves are meaningless when moderators willingly break them and then choose to selectively enforce them on others they don't like.

No, before that I made the rules that originally replaced the not so thought out rules we had in the beginning, it covered all the loopholes, took hours to make, and underwent hours of review, but now apparently someone ripped those apart to shorten it because they prefer loopholes over detail that takes a while to read, and added in their own personal preferences (or so it seems) D:

 

I can see why your rep is so low.

This thread isn't about the rules, its about how they're enforced by some/most of the staff in an improper way, though the rules are a concern because they aren't even being fully followed by the moderators themselves.
