It would just change the altitude of the ocean, causing a lot of water to rush to the north and south pole, technically expanding land masses. That's in terms of the ocean atleast, a lot of evolutionary changes might not have happened either, such as adaptations with night vision, and prey being easier taken in the night by predators they can't even see without moonlight.. so who knows what types of things would be extinct without it.

I don't know the exact specifics(mostly it'd be a lot like what Adi said), but we'd be SOL if it wasn't for the moon.

Also, Saiyans wouldn't be able to transform into their giant monkey form.

Thats true, but only a part of it.... The moon ladies and getlements stabilizes the planet making it to have a fixed inclination making rotation a fixed situation every amount time (a year as we all know)... without it, the earth will rotate in a different angle by every spin it makes... this will make the viability of an evolutionary ecosystem equals to zero. Thus preventig life in large scale as we have it here... This does not happen in every planet but due to earth characteristics it wil be like that.

second, well... our white moon is a natural shield for incomming asteroids... so it deminish the probability of being hitted by large scale meteorites. So, preventing large scales extintions caused by external objects.

Third... well the moon was originaly a piece of the earth... theories says that another planet crashed the earth in its process of formation... an the resulting debriss became our moon.... this is backed up because the same materials in the moon are in the earth.... So our existance is nothing more than a accident of cause and effect. we are lucky to exist.

And more so... moon is getting away about an inch peer year... eventually it will escape from the gravitatory field of the earth and life will end... This makes me wonder how the moon should have been seen 10 million years ago by the cave men.

... And well... no moon no sayians... and no werewofls... and no romantic crap.

    :p

Plus we'd miss out on beautiful pictures like this Harvest Moon.

or the sunset at the North Pole with the moon at its closest point. And you also see the sun below the moon.

This is all true, but would the drastic change of environment really change human existance? I realize it'd be like polar opposite effects such as half desert half glacier, but aren't humans capable of this kind of adaptation? Especially in our day and age with technology, and hey worst case scenario, we escape to mars or into the crusts of Europa lol.

The moon plays a major roll in keeping the earth stable on its axis, now if the moon wasn't here to do that then the sun would just tug and push the earth all over the place.

we wouldn't have been able to evolve in the first place without it, it's gravity keeps the earths axis stable

You are right, imagination and thecnology are born of such amazing adaptability... If the moon where to slip away from earth gravity, there might a be a way to survive...

But if the case was there wasnt a moon to begin with... no moon, no life in here... and we are just talking about the moon... there a 100 more factors to make life a real probability in a planet.

Or maybe another life could have been born in that situation, but i hardly think it will be us.. or it will be human at all...
