Greatsword Or Spear?

Okay so i know people made alot of thread about it..Saying Spear for pvp and GS for pve but..im not quiet sure yet so gimme your opinions

Go for Greatsword, if you'r ping is low.

Depends on your stigma build.For casting glad skills spear but if you choose second tree greatsword.Even 2 abg sword with silence blind percent ten. ^^

 

Spear has a higher top end, Greatsword has a higher low end.

Greatsword always hit for consistant damage, but spears have nice random suprise huge hits you wont get with a greatsword.

Also, the best PVP weapon in game for gladiator is the Bakarma/Ice Black spear(Extendable). The best greatsword for pvp is triroan/Lannok, but the stats blow compared to the bakarma spear.

So my advice is to stick to spears. Get bakarma for pvp, and for PVE you can use a 2 Enraged mastarious Spears merged together, to give lots of HP and lil extra DPS.

 

spear is better for crit, and higher damage. GS has a higher min dmg though but lower high dmg.
greatswords are more suitable for temps (since more extendables are available for slightly longer pulls and are mostly GS).

but spears with extend are good for AOE glads (lannok/ice black i.e) because they have longer reach.
so your DP skills like wrathful wave that stumble anyone in your aoe range and damage + if you crit......
overall id prefer spears, especially if theyd let lannok drop.
IA is ahead of the game by having a lot of instance drops working....perhaps some work is needed;]

 

get both.. and use it in different situation.

if u see 1 on 1, (not templar opponent) go for greatsword
if ur in a zerg... spear all the way.

 

I would prefer spear, it has higher parry which is indeed useful for gladiators.

 

i am using the spear taha spear fused with glorious spear and remodeled to trionas spear is that good

 

I dunno, I've never used a Gladi before but you better fuse up your Taha Spear w/ lvl 30 abyss or lvl 50.

 

lol i know but there is one problem i have full abg acc set but i dont have good armor i have fenesis

 

Well, fenris / miragent is good but better go for EGT.

Fenris = Good @ HP and Def but no PVP def like EGT

 

Greatsword!! has a stable damage but faster and a real facestomper!!

 

Well, better switch up from spear to greatsword and switch again if needed.

for me Gs because u can skill very fast than spear u can hit two times while spear is one only
