    well, i had never heard of it till Klass told me it was what he used, so i got the download, and taught myself the basics in about an hour, and ive been useing it ever since, so I'd say its pretty easy, its much smoother in its lines and everything than photoshop if you ask me, and its pointed more towards drawing than photo editing

    and Rdei, i want one of those plushies ^^

    and Btw here is a screenie of my work lol once i get off my lazy but, ill scan some of my hand drawings and post em ^^

    Not really, I had a bamboo pad I was using, but found it too hard to draw and look at a screen, so I've been usein my mouse lol:)

    It is pretty easy to use, what you need to keep in mind is that SAI is a painting application more then anything else :) so no fancy filters or effects its not like photoshop even tho most of the short cuts are the same
    So to reply to your question, if you want to be creative, yes you need to know the basics xD but no fears everything comes with training and patience.


    I'd recommend using Sai with a tablet for better results ! :joyful:

    @Neo

    nice start! good details, if you want to have smoother curve lines, try using the stabilizer ! xD

    As for the pad, you should really get used to it, I know it takes time but its for the best.
    I used to have a regular pad as well, I had a hard time during the first days, but it starts to get natural
    and easier the more you draw with it ;D
