Sm Magic Cap?!

Hi all!

Should sm have a magic boost cap or not?
I don't want to be bias on any way or influence anyone so, i'd like you to state your opinion!

u mean MB? or MA lol, coz sm go MA all the way anyways so no magic cap really matters to them

Magic boost does have a cap of 2600! and SMs don't go into full MB, so pointless...
If you tell to put even further cap on MB then all the sorc here will eat you alive!

 

i wouldnt think it would really matter, as far as i know SMs stack MA

dont think youll ever really hit the MB cap on SM

But if things are differant on Gamerz, someone please let me know lol

im making an SM as we speak as an alt and would love to know the best gear/manastones to use

Well, i meant magic boost and i didn't really stated my opinion. I'm just curious...
Sm does not have a magic boost cap as sorcerer has (2600), since my SM has more than that.
Edit: I'll explain better, should sm have a magic boost cap of 2600 just has sorcerer has?

Stacking MB stones is really useless...You'd better have max MA.....and if you have a spare set, then go full MR with it and change the sets during battles

 

....have you played SM? sm's attacks are nothing(in terms of damage) compared to sorc.... and the MB cap is for ALL classes!

 

Hmm...how is it that my SM has 2700+ MB, and my sorcerer can't go above 2600 even with buffs and manastones. I'm confused!

That should be some bug...cause the MB cap is for ALL the classes, not for one class. and excuse me, stacking MB stones only is a foolish thing to do, as most of your attacks will be resisted....If you have one set, definitely most of you manastones should be MA!

 

I don't play with my sm, it's just an alternative character. I know it's dumb to stack mb on Sm. ^^''
But i did notice it does alot of damage with damage over times skills (DOTS), shouldn't be a problem since most sm's have ma i guess.

Many classes now have some MR socketed....even, I say even if you have 6000MB, and low MA, it won't help you....

it can help actually... not all players are using All Magic Resist anyway.. 6000MB can 1 hit a zerg party...

 

absolutely not... I didn't say FULL MR.. even with SOME MR stones any classs will resist most of that SMs skills, cause that SM will have extremely low MA..... useless....

 

SM goes to MA dude.

 

Well since they have all the bugged fears which cant be resisted make their MB lower.

Lol...Arch-Mage, this thread was merely to show people's opinion on this, i did not suggest that sm mb should be capped.
Anyhow, interesting results on poll, majority for "yes". My guess is: the people who voted "no" are all sm's.
