    Well, the Chicken of course

    The reason being, It has been found that a Chicken is the only species to contain the correct combination of protiens in its ovaries to create a chicken egg, therefore, an egg, could not exist without the chicken

    This kind of debate always comes down to religion, or the whole big question of human existence where we search for some form of justification for why things happen, or what type of occurrence caused said thing to happen. After reading a few things such as Darwin's On the Origin of Species, and theory of evolution, I'll say that the egg came first.

    The egg, in order for the chicken to come, the egg has to come first. They slowly evolved over millions of years, but the egg always came first so something slightly different could hatch out of it.
