Hitting for 1 damage, critting for ~300 in full anuhart. This can't be right.

Hey, I'm new here, new to the assassin class as well. So far, I've tried PvPing only once or twice, since most of my time's been consumed by Dark Poeta and getting some good gear for my newly 55 sin.

Now, I'm currently 5/5 Anuhart, only missing one ring and earring as far as jewelry goes, and 2 Tahabata daggers, with one at +6 and fully manastoned and all that good stuff. I notice sometimes when I'm fighting in PvP, I'll only hit for 1 or 2 damage, however. Now I know this cannot be right. Unless there is some way to mitigate this much damage that I'm just not seeing (entirely possible considering I'm new to the latter part of this game) something is seriously busted.

Does anybody have a clue what this might be due to? Or if it is legitimate, any idea how to work around this as a character almost entirely dependent on physical damage?

 

Hmm, sins are kinda sucky in pvp, they only can take on vs rangers , sins and sorcerers.. Whit the gear you got now.
Get abg set + weapons to pwn other classes

 

did u try this on more people? or just 1 person
there r skills and items that reduce/block dmg

btw 2 daggers isnt the best idea since theres atk speed cap, most people go for dagger/sword or sword/sword these days

 

Not to mention full ABG gears are a huge meatwall of PvP dmg mitigation.

Well it's happened numerous times in PvP, but the only really observable time it's happened was against a gladiator I dueled just yesterday. I'm not exaggerating when I say he took only 1 damage from my non-crit attacks, and when I crit it jumped to maybe 350 or so.

I say observable, because I was able to hit the guy easily, managed to get my stuns off, and have 4-5 seconds of seeing that I did absolutely no damage.

Sorry for the late edit, but he didn't look like he was in ABG gear either. Maybe just the level 50 gold abyss gear. If that mitigates that much damage then I need to get my hands on that ASAP.

Not sure what this means, or what the highlighted part has to do with anything, apart from being the point of contention.

 

It means that it's BFE [Bolded For Emphasis]. Sounds like a dmg bug for me, or that's some gladiator skills I've never heard of.

 

You need an enormous load of attack on Assassins to deal any damage at all. Especially on Gladiators and Templars, who have crazy defense (esp. with ABG gear). Sad to say that ABG gear is really the only way to kill people using Assassins.

 

Yeah i wish sins were a little stronger vs plates, but caree, they easly kill cloth and leather somtimes chain when raging elyos in stealth :3

 

nah not necessarily, EAT is pretty decent too
besides, there r classes with low pdef (like sorc) and sins do have 30 sec silence xD

 

i do have an elyos assassin with +15 anuhart/taha items only...
just buy a L30 Abyss acc's for a little PvP atk so u can counter a little PvP deff...
go for dagger/sword with paralyze GS u can kill glads xD (except those ABG/EAT set users)

later on.. go hunt medals at fort siege so u can buy lvl50 Abyss thing

 

So I guess my best bet would be to just reroll and get onto a class better suited for PvP, hah. Cause I really don't want to donate for ABG gear, assuming that's the only way to get the full set without voting for 200 days straight, only so I can be "competitive" in PvP.


I appreciate the info guys, and am definitely positively surprised at the response time on these forums when compared to others I've been on. Hopefully I'll find someone willing to trade a full Anuhart Sin set + 2 Tahabata daggers for something worthwhile on another class, lol

until they fix dagger/sword effect (the effect that they realy dont wanna agree thats real) yep... thats the best thing u can do now ^ ^

 

theres always some1 who doesnt wanna do DP and likes to get gear the easy way so no worries
just make a trade thread bout trading sin set for another

btw make sure u remember to vote during the first week of a month, the credit rates r doubled. during holidays they sometimes triple them (like xmas, u could get 2.1k credits in a week) xD

 

Most players are full ABG so with the gear you have its normal for you to hit that low specially if its a temp/glad

i remember when i was full anuhart with sword/dagger i used to have 577 atk rate...
now with fulll abg i have 585 xD
thats not normal... thats rdiculous
