A Land In-between Peace and War.

A land without the sight of the arrogant Elyos might seem like something dreamed up by young Asmodians, whose dads have been lost in battle or forever crippled from the sight of war. The promise of immortality when you have ascended to Daeva has been shaken to its core since the Millenium War happened in the once-complete Atreia. A scar left irreparable.

But as Asmodians grew weary of their countless clashes with the angelic Elyos, they decided to find a new land, where the sights of Rifts - along with it the pseudo-gods those arrogant warriors have become - were none-existent. The Shedim Lords had not forgotten their calls, and with their guidance, Brusthonin was found.

A couple thousand years later, our nameless Warrior finally stepped his first feet into this land full of great possibilities and surprises for him.

Needless to say, with the keen curiosity of an Asmodian, he found sand pretty interesting, but very irritating once it found its way into his iron-clad armor.



Walking casually through the path that the Forerunners had made, it wasn't long before he reached Baltasar Hill Village, where the majority of Brusthonin's citizens are occupying. It was neither the village's calmness, nor the friendliness of its citizen that surprised him, but rather the luminosity of a nearby tree - the light source of the whole area.



No time to be wasted, he found his way through to the nearest temple and paid tribute to the countless ancestors who had paid their lives to make Brusthonin a place habitable for their distant generations. With the Priest's chanting, he felt like he could feel the whispering of the ages passing through his mind, like a never-ending melody that calmed his soul.



After speaking with the Head General of the village, who assured him that the lives of citizens were under control against the wild, fierce creatures nearby, he bidded his farewell to the village at last.

A butterfly flew by as he made his leaving.



As he walked further northwest, there was a small camp on a hill. With his feet getting weary from the journey, he decided to stop by and rest for a while. To his amazement, the monsters here were quite docile, and never tried to pick a fight with him. The people were, of course, as nice as the fellows he had just met in Central Village.

Upon his discovery, he found a small, nameless Kisk that was rooted to the ground.

It never expired since the day it was placed there, and this had a great deal of surprise to our Warrior, as Kisks were made to last only temporary. Was it the impenetrable spirit of its owner that allowed it to last for eternity, or was Brusthonin itself mourning the loss of this individual so much that it didn't want the Kisk to expire? The questions hung in his mind, but he did what every loyal Asmodian does: Giving tribute to those who had been lost.



He never stopped thinking about the Kisk as he went further southeast, where unfinished structures could be found. "What happened here?"- he asked the flight transporter.

It turned out that this is the most infamous area in the whole land, Adma Stronghold.

Long ago as a kid, he remember hearing his parents telling stories about a terrible Lord in the Promised Land who had locked out his people from protection against an unknown Infestation brought upon the land. The people, clearly, never had the chance to survive, and rumor told that they turned into zombies that wander aimlessly in front of the Lord's Palace.



Our Warrior decided to pay a visit to the place, which wasn't far from where he arrived. To his horror, the rumors were true.

There were zombies everywhere.



One of them came up to him, and started attacking him.
For a slight moment, he could hear the murmur coming out of the pitiful figure:

"Hel...Help...m..my..son..pl."

And the flurry of punches started again.



There were dried teardrops on her face, the teardrops of hopelessness as she witnessed her son die from the terrible disease.

Tightening his grip, he put her out of misery.

There was no time left, anger filled inside our Warrior like bursts of Aether sprouting from its source. A feeling he had only experienced once before.

"How can such atrocity be allowed to survive in this beautiful land?"



His eyes glowed red as he dashed into the dark castle before him.
