You realize that 200 years ago it would stop in
science prooved where we came from and it wont take it long to answer
    ;]

on my opinion. god is a creation man invented.
    god is an idea.
human kind searched for answers in a time where logic just couldnt explain it (rain, earthquakes, storms, lightning, shooting star, the rise of the sun) most importantly man searched for HOPE. human kind could not accept death, moreover it searched for a "higher" power to guide him through rough times and ask for help when no one else could help you.

    my point is this though.
i do not believe in religion nor god since they are a way to control people's minds.
take Christianity for instance, they scare the sh*t out of people with Hell and Satan idea just to believe in some false ideas.
and im sure i don't have to talk about Islam.. and jews are just too into the laws of religion which forcefully exclude them from society and leads to hate.

but im sure that without religion or the idea of god the world wouldnt have been as it is today.
religion make people doubt and ask questions, that's how science was born ^^
that's also why most wars are waged, cause of ideology and religion. but hey without wars we wouldnt have the internet and most of the technologies today so keep the religion on people! :D

To all of those who're asking "where did this come from?" your question is invalid and illogical. Where did your god come from? was he here before anything? if so, then why can't the galaxy be here before anything? if not, where did your god come from?

I find it utterly hilarious how people hold a belief in some mythical being that has absolutely no control over your REAL fate. You get sick, you get medicine. Medicine wasn't created by god, medicine was created by scientists, by technological progress. You rely on some manipulative excuse for existence because you just can't handle the fact that you DON'T know why you're here, and you DON'T know your purpose. You've been manipulated to believe in something that is a figment of your imagination, but then again that is to be expected since people always have questions, and since people are weak willed, they need a crutch to lean on, that's called religion. Science does not provide all of the answers, and that is the reason why there is religion, because they CLAIM to provide all of the answers which can't be PROVED by science. Of course when they make these claims no one asks for proof.

In all honesty, if you need to believe in a god thats fine and dandy, I don't. I'm not going to say that MY way is better than yours simply because I hate people who push religions on others. It all comes down to "whatever floats your boat"

ever heard of a little thing called chemistry? :(

    nope! i didnot :D
to be honest i am really bad with chemistry:D but as i mentioned before i would not believe in god if not the miracle i saw with my eyes... several years ago a friend of mine had oil bleeding or something like that.. i mean from time to time out of his forehead and nipples just simple oil's been comming, and when the family told to the priest he told it was bad sign and in that year in the summer war had began...

People personify god too much that is why so many non-believers exist, try to think outside of the box here. The idea that there is a god and there is a satan etc, they represent the natural laws that define us as human beings, along with a few metaphors and fairy tales here and there (Bible) etc. Don't think of these factors as people governing our lives from high up in the sky, waving their magic fists of fury to reap judgement, think of these religions as sort of moral codes or ways of conduct, or even abstract thinking to better ourselves or keep us from harm. That is kind of what their meant for.

Looks like chemistry was not your only bad subject, you should've paid more attention in biology/anatomy classes.
Also in logic some fail sense i (i cant see any cause-effect connection in said "miracle"). Its about the same if i said: "I went on vacation in Egypt and because of that revolution started".
Many miracles can be explained with modern science.

applying reason or logic to religious people is a huge waste of time, they seem to lack common sense and some sort of intelligence... just seems like they'll believe whatever comes out of a priest's mouth, and they'll misjudge what they see for miracles -.-

    Fadetoblack LOL for you!

Maybe you are talking about radical people. But i advice you to study a little history, because logic and reason are concepts created by religious people. Starting with Socrates.

I believe in god, and the same way some people said, i dont, look around, i said the same to them. We are alive, and if you want a chance in the world, stop playing and dont just look around, start doing something useful for the humanity my friends. Dont make god guilty for our acts.

If you can help to end a war, help to improve other people lives, etc. Why are you waiting for god to stop or explain what we started? Belive me when i said to you, you believe in god even more than me haha, is just that you dont realize yet.

    Just try

Thank you for proving my point. You state an argument and proceed to fill it with senseless words, were you smashing your head against the keyboard in hopes of an awesome logic-filled argument?

What're you stating? Socrates was a philosopher you dumb shit, NOT a religious person. Honestly from what you've typed I'm not even sure from where to attack you, was that your approach?

Woah woah woah, don't bash everyone who believes in religion as illogical. There's quite a lot of evidence to prove otherwise. Now, I'm not religious, and yes, lots of bad things that happen in the world can be attributed to religion, but so can a lot of GOOD things.

Now, when you talk about "faith," do you really think that you're adamant atheism in itself is not a "belief?" You have NO proof to state that there is no higher force or anything of that nature, you just have your empirical data. And your empirical data disproves certain things, creationism, the "Young Earth" theory, and others, but it doesn't disprove god in any way shape or form. Most famous scientists were actually religious. They thought that God had created the mechanistic rules of nature. The only thing their data proved was that humans were not as significant as they had once thought. It didn't disprove God, in fact, quite a few used their findings to SUPPORT the belief in god.

Personally, I'm a Deist also. To me, it is the most logical belief, that God is a watchmaker who set everything in motion, but has stepped back now.
