can you show a picture of the error msg u get when you try to use the ethernet cable?

 

There is no error, it just doesn't recognize the cable, it doesnt even picture it. It's not the cable cuz it works in a PC,

I putted wirless off and putted the cable in, but he doesnt get the connection nothing, not even LAN

 

then your wireless adapter is damaged, the port on your laptop is probably busted. try cleaning it or something. i rly donno what to say, just keep trying to plug it in and out. try plugging it in, then turning off your modem for 30 seconds, then powering it back up again.

 

That could be it , maybe it's damaged.

sounds more like the wrong modem/lan driver than a damaged port. its more likely too i think

 

cant be he just reinstalled windows which already updates its drivers manually with the correct versions, + his wireless works just fine its just when he tries to directly connect to the modem with the ethernet cable.

 

wirless driver is different from modem/lan drivers, his wifi can work just fine without the rest

its exactly because he formatted that makes me question it. if he didnt use his original cd then it could very easily be the wrong driver
