..i can't believe i can't solve this by myself..
..anyways, i need help guys specially computer geniuses..
..ok,so i can't play aion and here are the problems and questions..
..1st, i already updated and repaired my aion client, installed gamez launcher and still it doesn't open or it automatically shuts down..
..2nd, question is my audio driver is not yet installed does this affect aion?
..3rd, i still have an "unknown device" on my device manager, how do i check on what to DL for it to be installed?

1. the crash is mostly caused by directx. u need directx 9.0c to run aion coz 10 and 11 r too new for it

restart ur pc when ur done installing that

2. no audio driver just means no sound on aion, it wont give u any errors so u can play it with no sound

3. that unknown device r ur speakers since u dont have an audio driver
there r only like 3 different drivers for audio on the web so u can get ur sound to work through pure trial and error. if u have ur original windows cd (sometimes labeled recovery disk if its orignal) or if u have a recovery partition on ur harddrive, u can install the sound driver from there

installing directx 9.0c does not mean u replace 10 or 11, it simply adds the necessary files to render older games. most aion errors r dx related

btw funny story, played a game from 2003 and had incredible lagg on lowest settings until i got dx9.0c its needed by most old games

chances r u had the required files without even knowing it

3 audio drivers? No .

...Find out which audio card you have, or if its on your motherboard(stock) look up your motherboard and find out which audio card it has on it. Then google the audio cards name and you'll find the makers. Then search for the newest driver according to the name your audio card has. Dont do smartiks name, installing and uninstalling drivers is risky and can cause blank spots in your regedit...

lol...its not risky. in fact, every uninstall (even regular software) can leave blank entries in ur registry and it doesnt even matter coz they are not harmful. its like saying updating ur graphics driver is risky coz it removes the old one to put new one in >.>

can use a simple registry cleaner if empty entries really bother u. they r perfectly safe

..ok i have this driver updater software and it says i need..
1. SiS Mirage 3 Graphics
2. SiS Ethernet Controller - installed
3. SiS PCI to USB Enhanced Host Controller

..oh man why does this have to happen..T_T

lolz just update them. driver udpaters usually look for newer versions of what u already have, cant really recognize ur hardware that has no driver for it. as it says, u already have it installed

btw for next time, its easier to look up drivers before reinstalling coz device manager tells u exactly what hardware u have. depending on the brand, u can look up all drivers based on the model of the pc or on the website of the manufacturer. makes it really very easy

if u tell me the model of ur pc i can look up the drivers meant for u. also tell me the version of ur windows though

 

..actually this will be much easier if our old computer tech didn't took my Kaspersky AV Box..all my cd drivers are there..he's freakin idiot!

has all ur drivers including audio and yes it was realtek (maybe a different version of the driver, no idea but both will work, they dont really change much )

 

..does this have the latest version of SiS Mirage 3 graphic driver or do u have a link for those too?
