Elyo Hackers

I've run into this sorc several times over the past two days (never prior according to my log file).

I'm got an abg tome + abg armor all +10 with (mostly) eat accessories. I know there have been instances where Mayari popped the elemental buff, so i expect i'd do low damage to her then; but even BEFORE she pops the buff she resists everything i throw at her. More amazing, she out DPSs me. How is this possible? How can you have super resists and super boost? I checked above this part of the log and no, the templar did not use bodyguard at all. No chanter buffs, nothing.

Here is an encounter that occurred prior when I wasn't paying attention (notice the time stamps). This one I lost fair and square, you can see it with every mistake I made because i was not paying attention when she got the jump on me: In this instance, Mayari started with the elemental buff and I still landed 6/7 skills.

(This is where I died, fair and square, I casted through COW because I couldn't pot and I wanted to inflict as much damage so my guildie could finish her off)

MATH TIME:
(Mr-caster MA)/8 = % resist [This is the formula for MA/MR from: http/forum.gameznetwork.com/showth...tats-explained and I'm going to assume its true because it holds on here and in retail

(Mr +300 [buff]) - 1900 (my rounded down)) /8 = 14.3 (based on above combat log 1/7)
Using algebra to solve for MR that means that his MR could be 1714 (

Now, without the buff (using this information to prove my original claim):
(MR - caster MA) / 8 = % resist my flame spray 2 w/o the buff
(1714 - 1900) / 8 = % to resist my flame spray in the 2nd encounter (first log post)
= -23.214% (note the negative out front)

Assuming an MR build it STILL seems unlikely they would resist flame spray in the second encounter (Hey, that's why I made a Mag Acc build, I LIKE to hit enemies and not miss when the big sorc skills have a LONG cast time). More importantly this sorc HITS like an MA/MB build (plenty of data from previous pvp with guildies against this sorc)

So I'm still standing by my "How the hell does this happen unless Mayari is hacking or I have something FUNDAMENTALLY wrong with my understanding of the game mechanics).

Templars Use Full MR SET or Full Block.

I'm a sorc and the person in question is a sorc too.
There was a ranger in my group as well and this spec was doing as much damage to him as I usually do. I'm an MA/mb sorc.

So what I want to know is who can resist damn near ever shot from an abg sorc AND do the same amount of damage as an MA/mb abg sorc. I only mentioned the Templar to say that the sorc that I could hit was in fact not bodyguarded.

 

its secret build.. don't ask... if you will know.. you will use the build also..

You're right, the snipet i posted isn't all of my logs because quite frankly, no one is going to read through the detail of 5 encounters with different characters of mine and my guildies.

And your right, no log can prove a stat hack. I can't prove it. What I'm saying is that it is AMAZING to me how an MR build can do as much damage as an ma/mb build. Its not a gear thing; because I donated for a full abg armor/tome set, its not like i'm running around in white gear with no stones and shocked that I was super resisted.
