Another thread made me think about adding a new command to the game. I understand the reason behind charging 1b for using it is to drain some money out of the economy and preventing people from just using it instead of buying dyes from the website shop, however it often turns out overly expensive since dyes dont always behave the way players expect them to. Some arent sure about the color they want, some hex color codes look much better than the actual armor when its dyed etc and not everybody wants to go broke on a single dye

so...here is my suggestion

//dyepreview color command that would be cheaper or free and would revert to the original color after lets say...10 seconds? that way players get to test out colors be4 applying them and dont have to go broke over this

do you think this would be acceptable? feel free to contribute with your own suggestions ^^

i think this would help since people who really want to change their colors permanently still have to pay the full cost, but dont get charged ridiculous amounts for testing it

for example:

u wanna dye urself blue, but it looks different on every armor so u wanna test out several different hex codes for blue. now lets see, there r several 100 different hex codes for blue. would u wanna spend 100 bill be4 finding the color u like?

 

first of all , i would never dye my armor blue, its looks gay. be saying its looks different on all armors ,its looking almoust same on all, just sometimes color becames lighten a bit. anw to me its ok how it is. gl. out.

 

its the whole point of //dye command: to make players spend a lot of kinah.

"its the same" + "lighting makes it different", quite contradictory isnt it

blue doesnt look too bad on asmo cloth. it all depends on armor types, the tint u choose etc and yeah it does change depending on ur gear anyways not everybody knows what the armor will look like be4 actually trying it

they still have to pay if they wanna keep the dye thats the whole point of a preview

whats the difference in practice? just make them waste more time farming for kinah to waste it on testing that they wont even use?

as i said it doesnt have to be free, it can just be a bit cheaper

personally i dont feel like paying 1b each time for a color i wont even use

 

A very good idea. I mean, a lot of dye colours i like (Mostly either nude or royal colours) look really crap on my fenris *its not even visible ==".yeahNO, its not fenris, causr somebody remodelled it into something crappier --"
the only colours that actually look nice are black cherry red and midnight blue on fenris.

then its even cheaper to set up home test server and test all armors and colors there.

Yush, I remember the time I went from light blue to dark blue and dark red and orange and green and pink and fuchsia and yellow and purple and gray and started looking like a total power ranger with all my fluorescent colors, then ended up using white.

you dont play Aion anymore, so why care? //Dye is a luxury, so it shouldn't be available for everyone (then it wont be luxury anymore).
Anyway i doubt that any of devs will ever think about changing //dye cost or implement new command because:
1. its working
2. its good
3. its working good.
