My poor harmless thread! What have you monsters done!?

Today I logged in and much to my dismay I find my introduction thread not only in hot spam, but closed as well! What is the meaning of such unscrupulous behavior. Are the staff allowed to do whatever they please!? Are there no standards they must follow!? I assure you that I will not stand for this! I demand an explanation!

 

Can you link thread please i'd like to see it.

 

coz introductions generally r hot spam (no productive discussion besides introducing urself and getting spammed with welcome )

wanna link the thread? hard to tell what happened without the source and yeah as u said its been overnight so that wouldnt surprise me much either

That was an introduction! I was introducing myself and informing people that I was going to troll them. I see nothing wrong with that and I feel that it is just pure corruption and laziness to move the thread to hot spam and then to close it. Was moving it to hot spam not enough? If it became spam then then hot spam would then be the proper place. Someone has gone too far and I am very put off that the staff here is allowed to close threads just because they are inconvenienced by them or simply don't like them.

 

the most obvious reason is that u were gone and it got off topic thats what i think anyways

 

So I must now standby and closely watch every thread I make? What an odd system. In most of the other forums I have frequented there were these people called moderators that would watch the threads and handle such matters. Those duties also included removing any unnecessary posts that would throw a thread off the main topic. This system is very effective for those forums. These moderators were also carefully selected in order to ensure that they used their powers to help the community and not for their own selfish purposes. Gamez is such an odd place indeed.

here gms as well as moderators can moderate threads and they r basically picked from a list of volunteers that applied

in any case, most threads r let to run freely until they die and even then they dont close them. at most they r moved to hot spam if there is no productive discussion going on (but still not closed). still if u make a thread about trolling u cant be too surprised

How is a thread about trolling against the rules? There was no real trouble with that thread. Moving it to hot spam I didn't have a problem with but moving it to hot spam and THEN closing it was much too far. The GMs and Moderators here need to be held to higher standards than that. This has been a most negative experience for me.
