What is better for Gladiator Spear Or Greatsword?

need to decide what to get abg gs or spear :X

 

Get whatever you want, since ABG weapons are mainly for 2nd slot anyway.

 

Spear for crit/attack (along with a plate set)
Greatsword for full mres build (along with a chain set)

 

Spear + slow attack speed ,high dmg Greatsword higher a.speed mid dmg+ give a little crit more

 

i still can't decide what gladiator should use and what should i get abg spear or gs :S

 

Greatsword and spear is common go for dual sword .. .. ^^ amazing ... people may actually think your a sin ..

they are both good..but for me GS is good for glad(fast but low dmg)

 

All I can say to this is lol.
No everyone here has it wrong basically.
Spear - Slightly slower animations, slow atk speed, high attack value/high dmg, more base crit (and usually bonuses), less accuracy.
Greatsword - Slightly faster animations, slightly faster atk speed, low attack value/low dmg, less base crit (including bonuses), more accuracy.

To be completely honest don't get ABG Spear. Get a GS and fuse it into an MCD or Masta then only use it for block build clerics and templars (you don't need it for anything else). Go get an extendable Spear fuse it with the lvl 40 elite sper that gives +100 accuracy +18 0/0 atk speed and use it as your main weapon.

Oh and on a side note for all of you who go with full attack builds.... Check your damage w/o socketing full attack didn't change much right? That's because going full attack on a gladiator is worthless.

 

Spear- more dmg than gs, more crit than gs
GS- faster than spear, more acc than spear

I prefer Spear. GS is more for templars!

spear and GS r jusr like orb and tome. on other 4rum, ppl recommend to use tome than orb and so do for GS.
except 1 thing that i would use spear for my female glady cos of the draw animation lol
