I'm afraid there isn't much good I can say. Activity and numbers is the root of the problems. I can almost never find a GM when I need one in game. When I do, the GM is either afk, or flooded in too many whispers to read mine. Yet if I post a forum topic, I almost instantaneously see three colored names on the read list, which brings me to the conclusion that more time is spent on forum lurking than in game activity. The server needs more active GMs who are willing to chat in /3 sometimes. :)

Speaking of forums, this is the most lock-happy GM team I've run across. I have had an argument with Albull about it, regarding him and other GMs giving the wrong answer (Albull claims he was vaguely correct and refused to be clear when asked to be) to a problem and then locking the topic. Lock topics when they turn into spam. Don't lock them if they contain useful discussion.

Events: Stop doing lame hide and seek or trivia events. Yeah, they are much easier than porting hundreds of toons to a private map. But we like pvp. I especially enjoyed the event involving giving each side a fort and killing 'guardian' GMs in eachothers forts to win. On that note, stop giving kinah away for events and give more medals. Gold medals can be more easily obtained now, since you have platinum medal gear in the donation shop.

Also, check the broker every now and then. People are constantly posting duped gold medals. You can find them selling them in the forums as well. Lack of visible activity fighting this will lead more people to do it.

Alrighty I might as well address this since everyone else is passing out.

Firstly as far as your concerns with contacting GMs go there are numerous ways of getting ahold of staff. The old-fashioned way is to go through our GM List and try PMing them individually until you find someone.

If you find a GM that's simply too busy to respond to you we also advise sending them an in-game mail (costs 10kinah ._.!) which they can check out later on during the day.

The second method is forum PMs, not all of our GMs are forum-active however that's certainly one way to get my attention if nothing else xD

The third method is the in-game petition system which is fairly easy to use and someone will usually notice there's pending petitions and check those out.

Firstly go into your ingame start menu, bring up support and then click help & support.

Once in there click the category dropdown menu and choose what sort of petition you would like to file, doesn't really matter which

Now simply fill everything out like I have and hit submit, the petition will be sent instantly to our database and all online GMs will receive a system message alerting them of a new petition

While we have a fairly wide range of GMs as far as timezones are concerned we are, unfortunately, still human and things like sleep and real life do come up. Having said that we do try to provide as much coverage as possible so don't be too hard on the guys, everyone here besides Carl is a volunteer ;) I personally am usually only offline for about 6-7 hours a day so you can usually catch me ingame or on the forums :D

Your advice on events is duly noted although time constraints often force GMs into hosting "quickie" events which I personally can't balk at too much since that's less mail for me to send! Still we do have a few cool little events planned and I know for a fact there was a lot of RvR going on today.

As far as the gold medal issue is concerned duping should be patched now and I know between Bull and I alone we've destroyed hundreds upon hundreds of golden medals. Believe me - we're well aware of the issue and are doing everything possible to destroy the last traces of it.

Hopefully this addresses some of your concerns, let me know if you have anything else on your mind ;)

Note: I will be reposting an updated GM list shortly, it's a bit outdated/useless right now.

Update: Alright I've completely redone the GM list thread, pruned those that aren't currently "active" and added some HTML to make it pretty (yeah slow night, quiet -.-)

    Hopefully this should help matters.

i really liked all the gm there and there's this gm, he was once a trainee but he's so kool...
he was an asmodian and shows up in heiron town and acts like a player and not as a GM
    he's so funny! XD

wish GM's here in gamez are funny and looks/treat player as the same level :)

Love the events. All the GMs seem to be like really nice people. On past private servers I've played GMs have a false sense of superiority and it's really kinda annoying lol

Like the new events Edixoid has been running. I also like how when I whispered last night for the event I somehow got overlooked and didn't get ported. After I checked to make sure the whisper was received, I whispered him again saying that I got my whisper off in time and asking why I wasn't ported. About a minute later I was ported in. I'm pretty sure sure a cpl other GM's would just be like "oops, well events full so too bad".

Also like how hes trying new events as well. The other GMs I havent had any problems with, except that one time Brynette ran an event and didnt give his name when it was time to whisper to be ported, and as a result I whispered the wrong GM and didn't get in. The only other real problem I had was not getting my ten mufflers after a muffler event, but other than that I'd say the GMs are doing a pretty good job.

The GM are doing there job good. It is really fun with most of the guys. Like with Jazzlynn most of the time whe wheren't doing a event or hunting hackers and we where chilling in test 2 and i was With ely char she was with here asmo and she got some nice skills we just tryed to kill each other. But most at the time it didn't work because whe where invul :p

And for events it is always fair first to PM get in. But still sorry for those guys who need to take more then 4 sec to whisper a GM they has little to no change to get in a small event.

And for those who don't see a active GM it is most likely you life in the same time zone as me and there is no to few active GM's arround midday. Or they are active but you can't see them because they are hunting hackers or something.

Figured I'd bump this since Autumn mentioned this topic in the thread he just locked. Also:

Even though that is the case, it doesn't mean they shouldn't do their job. It's understandable that they do it for free, and volunteer their times.

But, it isn't us that are making them do it, it's themselves. If you take a position in the staff, it's expected that you do what's expected from you.

Perhaps not in the time we'd want it, but it has to be done nevertheless. I am in all honesty, happy with how things get done, it happens, perhaps slow, but it happens. And that's good enough for me.

    ---

Couldn't let that one go. ^.^
