I keep seeing “What is the best class” threads so I thought I’d throw out my thoughts. First thing is that there are many different situations, so I’ve broken it down accordingly.

    Solo pvp:
    1) Sin
    2) Ranger

    1v1 (Duelling):
    1) Spiritmaster
    2) Gladiator

    Duo groups:
    1) Glad/Chanter
    2) Sin/Sin

    Small groups (4-6 people):
    1) Cleric
    2) Chanter
    3) Spiritmaster/Sorc (can’t decide, SM has better CC, but sorc does more damage)

    Ideal 6 man raid party:
    Cleric
    Chanter
    Sorc
    SM
    Glad or Temp
Another DPS (Sorc, glad, ranger, sin - each brings their own advantage)
    - or -
    Cleric
    Chanter
    Glad x4

    Zerg vs Zerg:
    1) Cleric
    2) Templar
    3) Gladiator (for AoE’s) or Sorc/Ranger (for ranged DPS)

And because it needs to be here
Easiest class to play (decently well):
    1) Gladiator

Before you flame, obviously there are weaknesses in any PvP situation and my selections don’t mean “this class will win ever time”, but those are my opinions of the most useful PvP classes (in good hands).

    What do you guys think?

I lol'd at the Zerg vs Zerg answer.
Although I've never understood how sorcs are good for solo pvp, especially in Gamez where it is tough going anywhere without running into the zerg...or maybe I just play elyos and therefore always run into the zerg.

even without glitching blind leap good sorc can solo kill a group of players (or at least kill 1 or 2 from that group and safely retreat).

eg. MR templar vs MB Socr

I think any class can solo here because of the abundance of bad players. Some are obviously going to be better then others. The thing that I've noticed is that people opinion of the best solo classes are the ones that can hit hard, hit fast, and get out before the zerg arrives.

Haha, if I didn't already know what class you were I'd know after reading this!

    Solo :
i think all class can solo, but the hardest one to go solo all the time would be a Spirit master

    1v1 :
Spirit Master ..& the certain OP class so called, a glass cannon

    Duo Group :
cleric/chanter with a gladiator [..or anyother class]

    Small Group :
just like my answer in "Duo Group", i tend/prefer to be the support on a group ..that has no problem of killing whenever i want to thou
so i'd say a cleric/chanter with some classes that have aoe skills & kills fast :)

    [Edit]

    Zergs :
Having a SM on your group would make a big difference in the aftermath

From experience, glad is way easier than ranger.

haha, I'd sub out isbariya for Menotios and shadowshift for Yamenne's although dux's, flarestorm, and vallakhan made the final list. A gm with //invul and //addskill seemed a bit too powerful to include.
