still....can't log in.

    Hi all! :eek:
    I have read all the threads and followed all the steps but still...nothing is working as it should.

    This is what I've done:

    1: Check if the game is correctly updated (done.)

    2: Repair the whole thingy just in case something didnt work... (done.)
    3: Change the bin file hoping it was the real problem (done.)
    4: Place the item.pack file in aion/data/usa/items (done.)
    5: Change the system.ovr file (done.)

    but still i get an error message as i log.
    (a basic crash report and a "sendlogclient" crash report.)

    (its in italian cos im italian ^^ it mainly says "everything crashed and the files you were working on will be probably lost.)

    try using the original item.pak. you wont be able to trade taha etc but your game will work :p

    Yep,
    Im playing like that atm but...I need to trade a few things thats why Im so hating this problem. >.<

    if u have win xp sp3 ull never be able to get the items.pak to work, its an issue with windows

    go start, press "run" , write dxdiag.exe and press ok-enter. you will see.

    i even had the problem with SP2, and i dont really know what's causing the problem :/ now i've installed windows 7 and everything works perfect.

    its not just sp3 :p its windows xp related to begin with, a problem of the operating system

    yes but not everyone with xp has this problem. i used the exact same installing disc to install xp on my cousins computer and there items.pak works fine.

    if you are using windows XP be sure its on SP3 and have Framework SP1, all drivers updated and Aion not blocked from firewall,,just right click on my computer and properties..you will see if you have sp3 there..as for .Net Framework SP1, download it from microsofts website,.
