question...about accounts and ip addresses

i was able to log in earlier, played got my first toon to level 21, then talked my bf and my brother into playing. we play on the same ip address. tho when my bf is logged on my brother and i cant log on.. is there a way to make it so we all can play... we are ofc all on different computers . . . i already am enjoying the game but i want to play it with my bf and brother else wise its not really worth playing :crying: please let me know if this can be changed :crying:

 

well Im not sure what your problem is but its not on the server side because I sometimes run 3 computers from my house all connected to the game. I have logged on 2 accts on the same computer to make trades or such also. I do use a wireless on 2 of there CPU's the main one is hardwired. just asking but do you all have seperate account logins? "might be a stupid question but it could happen"

 

could u be a little more specific? like what does it say when they try to login?

 

well it lets me get to the log in screen and lets me log in but after i click to go in it stays at this screen and doesnt do anything else... my client did work but after i fixed the game on my bfs pc it hasnt worked on mine. he has the same issue on his, i fixed his but i also logged out of the game on my pc.. then tried to get back in and have this issue

 

can u login from that pc when neither of the other 2 people r playing? coz i dont think this is related to more people playing from the same ip

 

i took some files out of my gamezaion folder and put them in my NCsoft aion folder and it works... but now im concerned that if gamezaion patches/updates it will mess up my official file

 

Try repairing your client and reinstalling the launcher.

 

wait this is getting confusing lol, what do u mean by out of ur gamezaion folder? if i understand correctly, u have 2 separate clients installed?

she said it works, would be dumb to do that now


btw as to ur worries, gamezaion updates r only server side, ur client wont change and u wont need a client update for a loooong time

 

i copied my aion folder and pasted it in a new location so i has 2 aion folders. it worked for a different private server but i did nto enjoy that one and havent played since - so i fixed that folder back to the NCsoft version and then tried to install the gamezaion into it, but it doesnt work so its in the nc folder... lol does that make sence now... or did i do more confusing not trying to if i did lol

 

delete both files and go NCSoft launcher > Repair. and downlaod our server launcher.

some servers have modified files. so that may be the problem .

dont think thats it coz installing the gamez launcher alone (which she did) already changed those

the thing is that u need to link ur ncsoft launcher to the client ur currently using

run ur ncsoft launcher, right click aion, properties and browse to the client with the private server in it (bin32\aion.bin), then itll work ^^

 

its working... if it corrupts the official aion ill repair and figure it out then - for now i wanna enjoy the pew pew

 

it overwrites the d3dx9_38.dll and IpFixModule.dll in ur bin32 folder so yes ull need to repair if u want to play retail OR u can just make a backup

otherwise yes u can have 2 separate clients but u need to link the one ur using to ur ncsoft launcher as i described earlier ^^
