movies tab, pick 60 fps (ur eye cant see more than that, totally smooth) and full-size ^^

careful though :p eats up lots of hdd space while recording, u gotta compress it afterwards (use windows live movie maker or Virtualdub)

I'm currently using Fraps myself, and my videos never turn out to be HD.

I guess it detects your monitor, if your monitor is HD, the video will be HD.

actually not ur monitor but ur screen resolution so yes if u dont use HD neither will the vid, if u pick full-size it records exactly what u see under ur resolution ^^

Try getting a decent video converter and you should be able to enhance the quality a decent bit.

Yeah, the resolution is good enough, but great converters can make the video a lot more appealing to the eyes of the person watching :p

If you want to get a converter, I'd suggest trying AVS Video Converter, I'm sure you could get a cracked version but I'm not going to find it for you. Theres also DivX but I can't say that its really any better than AVS, and AVS does anything you want it to xD

virtualdub is free and was originally intended to be used with fraps (fraps help file says to use it), it does divx encoding as well

Hmm I never heard of virtualdub but if thats the case then I might go with that, or divx, whichever would work better I guess :p

Sony Vegas is a major pain in the ass to crack, especially for the little task hes asking about. Yeah, it would be a good choice to use but in this situation I think its not necessary especially with all that he would have to go through to get it.

virtualdub can use whatever codecs u have :p divx and xvid r the most common

what i like bout divx is the support for all 8 cores xD much faster encoding
