He chose to work for the government and I'm expression my own opinion to what the government has tried to say. To getting fired from the army, it's very unlikely, the most that could happen is dishonorable discharge where he would have to find a "real" job like everyone that lives here.

Most people that join the army are basically handed college degrees for sitting on bases for six years off american tax dollars.

I agree on Certain Part but not the infantry divisions I wish you guys could live it for a day only a day U'll see what hell is like.

 

iono about dishonorable discharge or w.e D: i dont even understand the purpose of wars. personaly i hate it D: i dont like watching war movies as well. it sucks, painful, sad and annoying and i keep asking why why why and never get it. o.o ---unlike the rest of my family or my brother reading the arguments here on the forums behind me..... lel but i guesssssssssssssssss everyones entitled to their own opinion so lets just leave it as it is.. Well all those sitting around on bases doing nothing should be there with those in the infantry I suppose, since that's where they'd best be used, protecting those around them from danger, people like you. I'm sure you don't want to die, and neither do they.

 

Everyone is entitled, and that's why I call it an opinion. I don't hold any strong facts, just back myself with how I see it, and how I read it from credible news articles in the past years. I'm a very political person, so some things just erk me, and I like to argue. None of it was meant at you of course <3

Well just like in real life, there are people who are unaware they're being controlled and people who are aware that they are.

Just because you're being paid to serve your country doesn't mean it's every man for himself in the battlefield.

First of all Uncle Sam does not oblige nobody, They join the Army on their own knowing how it is, so the "being controlled" part is kinda exaggerated and Yea is funny how people who are aware of what they are Leave peacefully at the cost of the soldiers right

I am fully Aware of them and I know the US is dirty but I don't care what necessary means we have to Do to make our People Live at peace Period.

 

Dishonorable discharges are worse than getting fired, and amounts to the same effect only with a permanent record. Really. It's almost as bad as getting discharged for a psychological condition. Good luck getting a job at mcdonalds with one of those listed on your dd214.

Every job in the military is a real job. Military personnel works hard. Hours can be as much as 14 hours a day 6 days a week depending on your field of work, and almost no job is easy.

I respect your views about war in general, but please don't degrade the values of those who volunteer to serve and risk their lives. I didn't get very far personally due to medical reasons, but I've seen enough to know you are wrong on many counts about the life of those who serve.

You'll never forget the look in the eight year old child's eyes as he approaches a base security point with a bomb strapped to him, screaming that he doesn't want to do this, yet ignoring your orders to have him stop walking. You'll have to kill him to save the lives of those around you. Taking that life will, and does haunt the poor bastard that shot him for the rest of his life. It doesn't happen just once, because it's just another day in the desert.

 

You misunderstand me Autumn, and I'm glad to have an intellectual argument. I'm simply stating that the war we're currently in is pointless in itself, no one has to die, not for there government or for freedom, we all subject ourselves to these things. In anything the american people are more at fault for saying the islam people are wrong, but that comes more down to opinion and religion I suppose.

As you said, personally I can't have much of a say on this, but as an american I can also say I don't see what effect attacking muslims has had on me, they've never tried to invade, only "punish" for injustices, much like they attacked the UN for the burn the quran day.

Finally, I won't degrade those who choose to serve, no where can you see that I have, as you see I fully respect that those who serve deserve respect, but at the same time I argue that people are victim to circumstance in that I wish there was change, there is no need for any of this, now is there?
