I'm just speaking from personal experience. My grandpa's real sick, and he's in constant pain. You'd think that he had nothing left, but everytime he sees me or my cousins or my brother, his whole world turns around and he becomes 100% ameliorated it seems. I feel like old age and sickness does not mean you can't enjoy life.

 

I DO wanna die old, but yet when I get so old and frail that I can't do anything then at that point I think I'll call it a life. Now if I die young I wanna die a glorious death in battle surrounded by the bodies of my fallen enemies where my spirit will be carried up by beautiful valkyries to the grand halls of Valhalla. TO VALHALLA!

Videogames and movies have nothing to do with this broski. This is from HISTORY! The Vikings believed that the bravest and strongest warriors who died a glorious death in battle would get taken to Valhalla to be among gods like Odin and Thor. Valhalla was THE place to be as there they eat, drink, fight, and train for Ragnorak, and any injuries they sustain there are magically healed the next day. In fact some of the older more experienced Vikings got depressed at times when they survived a battle because they believed that the gods didn't think they were worthy and thus didn't die in battle.

It's quite interesting in that most religions promise a much different afterlife depending on how you live yet the Viking afterlife wasn't much different from real life. GASP People learned something here today!

and yeah i <3 myths and legends as well as the ancient histories

but that doesnt make me all crazy in this century xD (except for wanting to have been born a few centuries earlier)

 

Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong time too, but then looking back and seeing what life was REALLY like for most people of different time periods and how it was a paint in the ass and sometimes outright dangerous to get the things we can get today at the push of a button, I'm kind of glad I was born in this time period.

well tbh i wouldnt mind the danger, at least u didnt have to spend half ur life at a bloody school writing essays, life was interesting

the only thing i dont like is the hygiene issues xD

 

You know what I mean, but yeah the hygiene was a problem too, or considering the fact that the average life expectancy was like 30 to 40. In fact during the middle ages you had a 1 in 3 shot of just making it to age 18. Now we have all kinds of dumbass teenagers running around.
