Cannot launch the game.

    Greetings,

    I've downloaded the north america aion client from ncsoft, downloaded the crystal aion launcher. But when i try to launch, it says: "Check your internet connection and try again"

    Is there any solution to that?

    No, my firewall is not blocking the connection.

    download from ncsoft launcher, and when its downloaded simple change ur country from ncsoft settings

    You didn't understand i suppose. I've downloaded the client already, the region IS set to north america, but when i double click CrystalAion.exe, it says that i should check my internet connection.

    try this:
    - open notepad and write this inside
    -then File-->save as --> "something".bat (.bat is really important!!!)
    - when you save it copy/paste into the aion folder and run it.. (not into bin32 folder)

    Heh, it worked, thanks Stevesxl! It looks like the exe is having a bug somewhere inside, because this bat doesnt really do anything than just tell aion to redirect to the server IP. Can anyone of the server developers look into that?

    I suggest to make this reply of Stevesxl being a sticky or in the FAQ, for others that have such problems, (I've seen a few on the forums).

    yeah the connection problem is caused by the autoupdater in the crystal launcher so even if ur connection is fine, this dumb feature wont let u play so yeah, u need to bypass it with a bat file

    It's not going to get fixed... everyday at least 2 ppl have problems with the launchers and every month Carl make a new Launcher with all the bugs from the old launchers... that's why i'm using my own launcher!

    well its not really ur own :p u didnt design the bat file or anything xD btw i have the launcher from august 2010 and it works just fine

    but yes he replaced a perfectly working launcher with an infected one for no reason, then he replaced it with this one that keep causing problems coz of the built in updater...
